If I had a blank piece of paper I would live in Shrewsbury had the pleasure of working there love the place in fact Shropshire is one of the best kept secrets not too big not too small my favourite town
I only went once. However, I was absolutely impressed with the beauty and architecture of this lovely town. Would love to visit again one day before I get too old !
I'm so proud to call Shrewsbury my home. Apart from the years I spent serving in the Army I lived here my entire life and would never contemplate living anywhere else. I remember bringing one of my mates who served in the Army with me to Shrewsbury for the weekend, he was from Newport Gwent, during the drive to Shrewsbury from Catterick he talked about the wealth of historical interest in Newport, and he said Shrewsbury hasn't got any history worth noting. As soon as we arrived I took him for a little tour and i honestly have never seen anyone so fascinated. He left the army a few months before me and he has recently sold his house in Newport and moved his family here.
Just love Shrewsbury. Lived there many years ago still feels like home. Went back in 2022 to visit and if course in February Flooding. Beautiful place. !!!
Overall a lovely old town though some terrible redevelopment from the 60’s to 80’s has left its ugly mark. Some years since I was last there so this is a nice reminder - thanks.
Museum+Art Gallery used 2b a Music Hall 4 Discos in 1970's! Cathedral Catholic Beautiful Quarry Park site of World famous Flower Show in Aug every year! Great 2c the fantastic places in my home town that I left 39 years ago. 😢 Thank you Jill Brown (nee Draycott)
When the river floods the traffic gets diverted around the town, that maybe why it was so busy. There is so much history in this town that gets forgotten. Thank you for coming to see Shrewsbury.
Went yesterday for the first time, I’m from Birmingham my god it’s a different world, clean , hardly any graffiti, no beggars or homeless in every shop doorway , I heard only English and Welsh voices , beautiful place ❤

I WOULD SAY YES, WENT LAST SUMMER SOMETHING TO SEE EVERDAY I LIVE NEAR LINCOLN APART FROM THE CATHEDRAL VERY MUCH THE SAME BUT NOT SO WELL KNOWN
An amazing town, really enjoyed my visit 😀
How’s the public transport system in Shrewsbury vs Lincoln ?
Hi, I didn't use public transport this time, @@otegaagbabune1358 but I heard the trains are good in Lincoln, the roads are overly busy in Shrewsbury!

Totally agree, also good to see that some places can get it right!
Christmas shop closed, gallery tea room closed, honkkonger closed (now wine bar), candle lane books shop closed
Most likely in Shrewsbury they will be replaced with new shops, that doesn’t happen often in most towns in the north!
@@andrewemmerson very true. Since living here seen many change. Some seem to be doomed locations though.
