To those who don't know. Uncle Rodger is correct that GIVING a knife for a present is bad luck but I know some people will give the knives and ask for "payment" to avoid the bad luck. It doesn't have be much, one dollar is enough tbh.

Gave my mom a new kitchen knife for her last birthday, and it was her favorite gift in a long time.

Thanks much Uncle Roger! (And Nigel for allowing Uncle Roger a platform) Thanks to your videos I did a deep dive on MSG and foods it naturally occurs in. FUIYOH! So many foods I love, especially tomatoes and parmesan cheese. So good, So Good! Plus I found that MSG has much less sodium than table salt and I'm supposed to watch my sodium a bit. I have gotten headaches in the past when I've eaten Asian foods, but that could be the high sodium content and other stuff too. Can't wait to get a small container and give it a try!

I tried to MSG my way to a better grade. That day we had police come in and check our bags. Needless to say they were very confused when they searched my bag.
I've been using MSG in my stir fry and my chili for years. I recently tried it on pork chops but hadn't tried steak yet. I have a nice A5 Wagyu steak in my freezer.. may try some on that when I decide to grill it.
I bought my first container of MSG a couple weeks ago. Every single thing I’ve cooked since then has gotten a sprinkle. My life is changed. I’m never going back.
Yeah its pretty great. The whole anti-MSG thing got started in the US since it was used ALOT on really cheap crappy foods like packaged snacks and canned meats, as well as really shitty restaurant food. Alot of people rallied against it after some people noticed they felt sick after eating at asian restaurants that used it but it's more likely they just got sick off all the salt, sugar, and oil really crappy restaurants use on everything. Some of the really low quality sauces they use in cheap asian restaurants can be 25-50% sugar and 1 tablespoon can have most of the salt you should have in a day, so a bowl of cheap teriyaki can have like 60-80g of sugar and like 4 times the salt you should have in a day. Combine that with the fact that cheap restaurants use alot of sauce and seasoning to cover up low quality meat and you've got a recipe for an upset stomach, so its not hard to see why people sometimes got sick off of it and since "Monosodium Glutimate" sounds like a scary chemical you can see why people would blame it for feeling crappy when it was actually just the lethal dosage of salt and sugar they just downed, and they'd probably have felt just as sick if they had an equally unhealthy meal at an american diner. MSG has been a "dangerous food additive" ever since.
