Buscalan is a remote village located in the mountains of Tinglayan, Kalinga and is home to the oldest and legendary traditional tattoo artist, Apo Whang-Od. She had made the village popular since she used to be known as "Ang Huling Mambabatok” of Kalinga's Butbut tribe (The Last Traditional Tattoo Artist of Kalinga).
Just recently, Buscalan Village has become a popular tourist destination, since more travelers are getting more and more interested by its charm, its people, and its tradition. Every traveler who visits the village, wants to meet and get inked by the legendary mambabatok, Apo Whang-Od. Tattoo-enthusiasts or not, more and more people flock to the village especially during weekends, making it almost impossible to have a chance to get inked by Whang-Od.

Masakit po ba daw kung sa batok part yung tattoo?
Sorry po for the late reply.. sabi nung mga artist mas masakit sa mga parts na hindi naa-arawan, so if laging exposed ang batok mo, malamang masakit nga pero hindi kasing sakit nung chest part, masakit daw kc tlg don sabi nung friend ko, sinabi rin nia yun dyan sa video.. Do you still need to make reservation sa jump point before going to Buscalan?
Nung nagpunta po kame hindi nman, pero if marami na po nauna sa inyo dumating at nagpa register, may chance na hndi na matatakan ni Whang-od, lalo if masyadong marami dumating na guests..

Ay hndi po, half ng trail un medyo matarik na part ay may concrete stairs nman at may handle pa so safe na safe. Make sure lang po na trekking footwear ang suot nio para mas comfy at safe para hndi rn kayo mahirapan.. Thanks for watching!😉
