Are you bottom-watering your calatheas? I find that they thrive much better when you water them from the roots, gives them exactly the water they need, and takes longer for them to dry out. I also find that they need to be showered once in a week, takes away the dust, and makes it easier for them to photosynthesis. Also helps with pests.

Try rattlesnake calatheas. I’ve got two and no problems, no brown tips.

I have a friend who has no experience with plants. She wanted one and I went shopping with her, she picked a calathea orbifolia. Ive had it, it died a tragic death. Obviously lol. I warned her about the difficulty but she wanted it anyway and it is THRIVING. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND :(:(:(
