CARAJILLO: What is it and should you DRINK one???

Carajillo:
- 1 1/4 oz Licor 43
- 1 oz Caffe Amaro (optional)
- 1/2 oz mezcal (or rum/brandy)
- 3 oz espresso / strong coffee
Stir the first 3 ingredients with ice, then pour into a rocks glass. Layer the coffee on top.
(Optional: Express an orange peel.)

In Spain nowadays, you typically mix the coffee with either rum or a Brandy from Jerez called Terry. I wonder if we can find one of those here in the US

Great cocktail recipe. My wife doesn’t drink much but said she wants me to make this for her on the 4th of July. This gives me an excuse to buy a bottle of mezcal, and a coffee liquor other than kahlua (Mr. Black) and, I might as well pick up a bottle of crème de cassis while I’m at it to make an “El Diablo”….as well
