I also disagree that this video makes it difficult for the gluten free community to be taken seriously. On the contrary, I think it is an excellent vehicle to show the non-allergic community just how difficult it really is for those suffering from food allergies, and give them a greater appreciation for the implications of our plight. I hope that this will help put your mind at ease, and thanks so much for your compliment on our singing. Very best wishes to you and to everyone! -Michael
I give a standing ovation to the writers, singers, director, and all participants in the making of this production. It is entertaining, hysterical, and SO well-done! Way to go! I am sharing this with EVERYONE I know. Right now.
My marching band's show this year is going to be Les Mis, and one of my directors is allergic to gluten. I'm probably going to sing this to her everyday.
jackass123491 Actually, my mom has been researching how to make oat and other alternative milks, so I do have some idea! But I'd love to know your perspective on "oat-milking" XD
Brilliant parody! Great voices and acting. Well written, shot, and edited. Info included that speaks to the experience of people who are seeking wheat alternatives. Can't stop watching it and picking up on MORE of the humor each time. The whole team deserves ten stars!
Love this. With both a GF family member and a classical singer it was appreciated ALL AROUND. Thank you for all that hard work in putting this together....
Is there a support group for people who are addicted to this YOU TUBE? I literally watch it 20 times a day. I play it for strangers on my Ipad everywhere I am including my doctor during an appointment today who thought it was awesome. All four of you guys are enormously talented and should have your own show, or at least put out an album to cook by!!!
Oh my god, I'm currently on a stupidly restricted diet for medical reasons, like STUPIDLY restricted, and this is now my theme song. Thank you. XD XD XD
Isn't it great that mucous free food can enhance singing voices like that !! I love this spoof, very clever and beautifully sung. I have spent 14 years studying and advising people how to eat for optimum health by giving them yummy delicious food ! Happy to share recipes...
Haha! I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and a Milk allergy and it has been quite a rough road. Thank you for posting this and making my day!!
This was fantastic! Our daughter had a film class last semester and her final project was entitled "The Gluten Free Project"..it can be found on TH-cam as well. Anyway, the professor loved it as did the students. Thank you for giving her one more reason to smile amidst the struggles of living with Celiac.
My family loves this video!! We have watched it so many times that I will hear it in my head at random times. I sang one line from it today and my 3 year old daughter eagerly asked "can we watch it?!" - so here we are...again. :) Thanks for the endless entertainment!
Thank you! Having been gluten, dairy & egg-free for over four years has been difficult at times but worth the health benefits. It is great to have some fun with it and see some of my thoughts illustrated so eloquently.
This is hilarious! I'm a chef and dietitian and have worked with all these ingredients (and others). It's not easy to manipulate recipes to fit allergies and foods rarely ever taste as good as the original great job guys I couldn't stop laughing and I shared this with all my friends!.
As a vegan chef, I can honestly say this is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Would you guys be willing to perform it at Healthy Taste of LA? It's brilliant!!!! Love & Kale, Chef AJ
As someone who has worked in the food ingredient business for over 30 years (and who thinks Les Mis is the best musical ever written), I thank you! I was literally laughing out loud. By the way, lecithin is usually made from soya, and is an emulsifier used in chocolate to decrease slightly the amount of fat required to achieve a desired viscosity.
Thank you so very much for bringing humor into a challenge that is not one that has a lot of laughs connected with it. The lyrics were a lot of fun. And the vocals were off the charts! Loved it and sharing it.
This is brilliantly written, immaculately sung and just overall freakin' amazing! As someone who in April last year was rendered gluten intollerant by a botched medical procedure I know the frustration well.
This is absolutely the best TH-cam video I have every seen. I am watching it for the fourth time. I've shared it with everyone who will listen to me. So perfect. You all are very talented, to boot.
I needed to see this so much. I am about to go to the store to buy a wheat pizza crust. I have not eaten wheat since late October and the options really taste like crap. I thought that my husband was going to sweep me up in his arms when I told him we would have full octane pizza. LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Unbelievably funny, educational, with awesome music quality. Perfect for us Foodies who are gearing up for Oscars. Best of luck with all you continue to do.
Oh my god. This is the cleverest, most hilarious and well-made parody EVER. BAHHH! As a gluten-free, multiple-food-allergied actor/writer and fan of "Les Miz", I felt so sad that there wasn't a Broadway musical parody that spoke specifically to my unique demographic, but NO MORE! I have been represented!!! Fan-freakin-tastic!!! Well written, well sung, & amazing product representation (Pamela's gf flour sits on my counter at this very moment, waiting to be turned into pancakes). A+, people!
After spending the last to weeks trying to find a mix that can make good, flakey biscuits I really appreciate this. Even the wheat free mixes give me problems and I can't find what the differences are in a consistent manner. I am beginning to think that it is the mass processing of anything. It took us a whole summer of experimenting to find a pizza crust that tasted good, held the sauce, and didn't cause me or my friends any distress. When we can find something to make puff pastry- look out!
Brilliant! I used to feel alone dealing with the constant pain and disappointment of having to eat with food allergies. This parody made me appreciate how common my issues have become and how far my evolution of cooking gluten, dairy and sugar free has brought me. I have learned how to milk an oat and an almond! But the best cure for everything is to laugh, especially at yourself.
Wow! Michael. One grain more exactly expresses the feelings on many food-allergy affected people. Thank you for the fun. You are very talented. I am a pediatric gastroenterologist and food allergy specialist, going on a gluten/food allergy speaking tour of the USA - "Gluten:ZERO Global". I would love to play a segment of your youtube video. I will be asking you for permission to use your material. Of course I would attribute your work to you. Fantastic! Dr Rodney Ford
OMG! You are the first person who has ever made me laugh at all the food allergies I have and my search for something GF that tastes decent! Excellent! Thank you!
Holy crap this is just amazing. Speaking as a Le Mis lover & a gluten - dairy -egg -soy free eater, you've captured everything perfectly!!! Serious talent, all of you :)
ROFL. On behalf of nut milk drinking, xantham gum using, pizza dreaming people everywhere...THANK YOU! I have almost every product featured. Hysterical!
Bravo, Michael! Brilliant lyrics and singing, and it's nice that you can laugh at yourself while enlightening others on the trials of food allergies. :-)
This is great! And EXACTLY how I felt when I first had to give gluten up! It seemed like it took forever to find decent substitutes for former favorites, but it was worth the search. There are still a few things I haven't been able to replace, but I'm confident that with enough patience, I will find something that works. :)
Brilliant! I spent half my book tour of "52 Loaves" fending off questions about gluten-free bread. (Not that there's anything wrong with that). Next time I may just break out into song instead. Bravo, Michael and Lily!
This is absolutely brilliant! I haven't got any food allergies, thank heavens, but I've done quite a bit of baking for a celiac friend, so I am very familiar! You all have fantastic voices!
Outstanding !!! I understand that some people may be sensitive to the subject matter. However, if one cannot find humor even in very serious matters, getting through life becomes that much more emotionally challenging. Great entertainment !!!
Ha ha ha! Love it. Not only for the truth of the parody, while I struggle with a healthier diet, but your voices are awesome. It's good to laugh at whatever situation you're in.
Brilliantly sung and executed. And yet, more people will watch "Gag-me Style" for the umpteenth time instead of this. Thank you for bring some quality back to TH-cam.
That is so hilarious, brilliant and timely!! Luckily there are products available that are edible, fantastic, delicious and amazing such as Enlighten Your Palate treats which are free of dairy, gluten, soy, corn, nuts and refined sugars. You won't believe the flavors and textures are heavenly!! Thank you for the talent and the huge belly laugh!!
OMG - ROFL - I am allergic to wheat and peanuts and I LIVE this video every day - I am laughing so hard there are tears in my eyes...!!! Thank you for creating such a delectable treat!
Is there an Epipen fanclub? If not, there should be. I just love her :)

I’m still coming back to this in 2020
"This does not feel like a bun"
That is my life all the time!! Nice job with this! Very well done and hilarious!
I keep coming back to this. Every time. My fiance and I smile so much.
This is a HILARIOUS Les Mis parody for all the allergen-avoiding bakers out there. How do you milk an oat??
It's been a year since you posted this comment but if you and Eponine are still interested I can tell you how XD
jackass123491
Actually, my mom has been researching how to make oat and other alternative milks, so I do have some idea! But I'd love to know your perspective on "oat-milking" XD
Alivia Jones I was basically just gonna give instructions on how to make it XD
Brilliant parody! Great voices and acting. Well written, shot, and edited. Info included that speaks to the experience of people who are seeking wheat alternatives. Can't stop watching it and picking up on MORE of the humor each time. The whole team deserves ten stars!
this is great...listened about 82 times. Addicting...lol
Jim Cagley I listened 24,601 times
This is amazing. The lyrics are just perfect and the voices and overall performances are phenomenal... it's hilarious!
Love this. With both a GF family member and a classical singer it was appreciated ALL AROUND. Thank you for all that hard work in putting this together....

Very funny. I have a kid with Celiac and you nailed this one. Great job.
THIS IS THE BEST PARODY OF LES MIS
Every few year I think about trying carob again and then I watch this video. "Carob doesn't work, carob is a trap."
This was hysterical. Can't wait for all of them to try the low FODMAP diet. Looking forward to watching that video!!
Oh my god, I'm currently on a stupidly restricted diet for medical reasons, like STUPIDLY restricted, and this is now my theme song. Thank you. XD XD XD

whats so great about les mis, is that it inspired people enough that even the parodies have a lot of emotions
This is one of my favorite things in the world
This is incredible! I would give this video 5,000,000,000 stars out of 5. (keep in mind 5,000,000,000 is so much more than 5.)

Im so glad I somehow ended up on this video. Its so funny!!! And great singing!!!!

I love the Eponine!!! Her voice is beautiful and she's perfect in this video...
As a fellow parody song writer with food allergies, I salute you ! This is FANTASTIC !
This is absolutely the best TH-cam video I have every seen. I am watching it for the fourth time. I've shared it with everyone who will listen to me. So perfect. You all are very talented, to boot.
Brilliant! The lyrics are fabulous and the performances are outstanding. And so very funny! Love "Epipen" for Eponine in the credits.
LOL....listening for the fourth time, and I keep hearing new lines. Thank you!
Megan 'Epipen' has an amazing voice. Love this video.
Best thing I've seen via the Internet so far this year!
I needed to see this so much. I am about to go to the store to buy a wheat pizza crust. I have not eaten wheat since late October and the options really taste like crap.

I didn't know that I needed a gluten-free version of Les Miz, but now I can't imagine life without it!
The girl who sings Éponine's line needs to start making her own youtube videos, she is fabulous!
Epipen has an amazing voice; though they are are all brilliant. Love it!
I love this video! I hope it goes viral! Congratulations! I'm going to keep watching this over and over again!!!

Sunday was my last and 5th performance of Les Mis in my community theatre group and this made me cry with laughter.
You guys are very talented, best rendition of this song ever!
Wow! Michael.
One grain more exactly expresses the feelings on many food-allergy affected people. Thank you for the fun. You are very talented. Fabulous parody! You nailed the struggle we all have with eating substitutes for what we really want but can't have!
OMG! You are the first person who has ever made me laugh at all the food allergies I have and my search for something GF that tastes decent! Excellent! Thank you!
HAVE YOU EVER MILKED AN OAT
I actually have... not 😂😂😂
Fabulous. Wonderful performances, great voices, and a terrific message. Millet and Quinoa can be delicious, and veggie milks can be great too.
Holy crap this is just amazing. Speaking as a Le Mis lover & a gluten - dairy -egg -soy free eater, you've captured everything perfectly!!! Serious talent, all of you :)
This is brilliant! I love musical theater and it's a perfect vehicle to highlight this challenge in a fun way. Are those all your voices? Brilliant!
I've had this in my favorites since it came out and usually at least once a year I need to watch it and sing along xD
Love it! Of course I love the music from Les Mis so much that the lyrics could say anything and I would probably love it! LOL

ROFL. On behalf of nut milk drinking, xantham gum using, pizza dreaming people everywhere...THANK YOU! I have almost every product featured. Hysterical!
This song gave me the chills!
This is brilliant - concept, the voices, the whole thing! Thank you for providing such an entertaining 3 minutes and 44 seconds. Do you have any more?
Oh wow, I have to send this link to everyone I know so that they know what it's like for a Celiac like me. Wonderfully done. Congrats!
Awesome Parody!
Great lyrics. Great Voices.
Kudos all around. Well done.

Really Fantastic job all around. Writing, composing, editing, filming, etc. Funny !
"Love, I've finally defecated!" - I died here.
combining my three loves, les Mis, singing, and the quest for REAL food :'D beautifully done and so funny!
Bravo, Michael! Brilliant lyrics and singing, and it's nice that you can laugh at yourself while enlightening others on the trials of food allergies. :-)
What terrific voices! Bravo! Really enjoyed.
flipping brilliant. Really really liked it. Congrats to all of the cast - really well done and superb execution. Michael -keep up the great work.
I didn't notice this until now: the card at the beginning, "Must not contain... celery, tuna, or giraffe." 🤣
THIS IS SO TRUE!!!! Totally made my day!
Nothing says its time to party like anaphylactic shock.
This is great! And EXACTLY how I felt when I first had to give gluten up! It seemed like it took forever to find decent substitutes for former favorites, but it was worth the search. Oh THANK YOU for putting my life in song!
This is so brilliant. You're all amazing singers and I almost spat my drink out at the monitor it was so funny! So brilliant. Well done!

Doesn’t age at all. Fantastic. Your fame will last for centuries!
Thank you Richard!! Totally made my day : )
Outstanding !!! I understand that some people may be sensitive to the subject matter. However, if one cannot find humor even in very serious matters, getting through life becomes that much more emotionally challenging. Great entertainment !!!
This is amazing. I've watched it three times over now. I feel as though it was written for my household (pizza included, oops!).
This was truly a delight to watch.
Amazing work! You have really captured the original song and have absolutely smashed a new interpretation. WELL DONE! ^_^
There should be an award for this.
Remarkable parody, gorgeous voices--thanks for great entertainment!
I have shown this to my dietetics students every year since it was made :) Holds up!!
Having had a celiac household since long before anyone had every heard of it, I love you guys. In a respectful way.
Ha ha ha! Love it. Not only for the truth of the parody, while I struggle with a healthier diet, but your voices are awesome. It's good to laugh at whatever situation you're in.
This is HILARIOUS! Recently I had to go gluten free. I LOVE the humor in this video! Thank you for sharing it!
Brilliantly sung and executed. And yet, more people will watch "Gag-me Style" for the umpteenth time instead of this. Thank you for bring some quality back to TH-cam.
I like how the cookie that poor lady at the end stepped on didn't even dent.
Brilliant, great voices, hilarious, well frickin' done!
That is so hilarious, brilliant and timely!!

Absolutely hysterical, true, and excellently done.
