I was confronted by God that I was so busy to cover my loneliness. I wake up during the night with fear thinking about the next day! Nothing planned, nobody to call, all alone! Unsuccessfully, I have for 5 years had every Friday night dinner time for two other women and myself. We spent 3-4 hours talking, eating and praying, but after 5 years I got tired of not getting any closer, and then one of the ladies died unexpected of covid last year. And we never got closer, only meeting on Friday, the rest of the week not a sound or call. This is in the mid-west, living on the east coast was more relational, we celebrated most every holiday with the members of our prayer group. Help! I am praying and trying to have community but it’s not happening…even our small group meet only once a month here, for 2 hours, we sing ,pray and dump but we are strangers to each other. I mentioned that it would be nice to meet at least twice a month and I heard, “we are working on it…..”

Praying for you. It might be easier to pick four people and meet with one each week for dinner for the month. You can get to know them one-on-one and open about your life with Christ. It will give you something to look forward to each week.

It's so important to join your Church's small group or Bible study to stay connected. Just showing up on Sunday morning Paul not cut it. Also helps to volunteer for a ministry so you can help do God's work while getting to know people. It's up to you to make the first step to know people but then it gets easier. Praying for everybody who's reading this and needs Godly friends

My church split during the pandemic because the pastor and elders could not agree. Sad!!!

Working from home takes a toll on people. You really do miss the connection
