Wow.... credit to you for being so calm although i can hear how disappointed you are. They should never have accepted your cash if they werent going to do a proper job.
WELCOME BACK 🤗 Such a positive attitude about the changes in your collection and you are absolutely right they will bounce back beautifully 😊. Looking forward to your purge and reset video! 🪴❤️🪴❤️
I'm happy to see you return, but I'm devastated for you to see your plants in such horrible shape. But I know you will rebound with lavish plants within weeks.
You got this. It will be beautiful again. I am sorry you came home to this. I hope the person who was supposed to take care of your babies hides her head
You’re back!!! Yay!!! Thank you so much for sharing some of your holiday with us. What beautiful photos. I’ve always wanted to see Europe. I’m so sorry you came home to some sad plants. I’ll be quiet now and watch. Just was excited to see your face!! Welcome back!! 😊
I know right?! I was honestly so shocked? This has never happened to me before. Devastating at first but I’ve definitely come to terms with it and I’m relishing the challenge. I’m so happy to be back, it’s so great to chat to you again! I’m popping over to your page to see what I’ve missed!
Oh man, I would have cried so hard if I'd come home to such sad plants. I hope you'll be able to treat yourself with some new plants once all this is over. Do you think that something the carer did/didn't do contributed to the spider mites outbreak? Or was that just an unlucky coincidence? I don't know if she would have even noticed the mites if she's not familiar with plants.
I think under watered plants definitely become very susceptible to spider mites, so it is just very unfortunate overall. I’m hoping they can recover soon.
It’s too hot in my living room in the summer for that. The windows are floor to ceiling and they face south. Most philodendrons and monstera do okay, but anthuriums need more water than that unfortunately. At other times of the year, it’s fine but summer is tough. I don’t like self watering pots once the plants are over a certain size, so it just is what it is unfortunately. Some will grow back and some will not, c’est la vie.
You should use beneficial bugs everyone! Get rid of those pests. I had spider mites once and bought beneficials every two months 3 times. The third time just to be totally sure because I thought the beneficials that were left could be spider mites 😂 but since then, the beneficials are still in my soil and moss and everywhere and I don’t have to worry about pests anymore. If I had any pest ever again I’d get beneficials right away. 200$ can save you a lot of nightmare. It’s just sad to have pests indoors. Outdoors is another story, but indoors… please! Get those beneficials.
I've suffered through this vid till the bitter end... what a comedown after what sounds like such a great trip! My condolences. Nice to have you back, though :) Which part of London did you use to live in if you don't mind me asking? I spent ten years in that city (mostly in N2) and I really miss it...
You can do this do this monef I can see as a plant parent your quite upset hang in there way to go is self watering ❤️ and you will beat them spiders asses into retreat glad you had a lovely break you’re a survivor and so are your plant babies look forward to you’re next episode 🥰
I would love the opportunity to take care of your plant. I have a little jungle in my apartment as well, but im not as advanced as you are. Im from brooklyn and im also a virgo lol 09/06. Beautiful collection🌱🙏🏽
Wow similar thing just happened to me after my 2 week trip. I asked a friend (she has many plants too) to water them once a week (I turned my grow lights to be on for less time) and I came back to half dead plants. She just missed waterings and frantically watered during her second visit. Wtf. One of my pride and joys is down to 2 leaves due to her neglect. Lost an uncommon Hoya and had to chop up another. Idk what to do in the future.
It’s so frustrating is t it? Especially when you think huh have left them in good hands only to come home to horrors. I don’t really know how to resolve this in the future either. Most of my week long trips are done but 3 weeks, I really have to be able to trust whoever waters them!
@@Monefsjungle I’m thinking I’ll have to try to find someone in a local plant group and be very transparent about what is needed and what I’ve experienced. Idk though because it’s hard to know if someone will do a good job.
next time i would make before pictures and after pictures and pay the person half in advance and half after you're back, they obviously didn't earn that money

Thank you, you are right, it’s unconscionable. Lesson learned.

Your plants just miss you. Grow your plants back happy.
🪴Happy Planting🌿
You might be on to something there 🥰. Thank you,💚🌱
Them plants didn't like that stranger!!!
They really didn’t🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am actually crying 😂

Thank you, it’s good to be back but definitely hard to accept what has happened. I’m looking forward to getting them back on track.
Ugh. I would be upset too. Very much so. So sorry and I hope you didn’t pay her too much.
Honestly, I’m sick thinking about how much I paid. Lesson learned.
You got this. It will be beautiful again. I am sorry you came home to this. I hope the person who was supposed to take care of your babies hides her head
Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot.
There's a cool Titanic museum in Branson, Missouri also! It's a little closer to home for your son to visit 😊
Really??! I had no idea, we will definitely be visiting that!!!

@@Monefsjungle 😍 I have Hoya’s now big change and soon you’ll see some new planters for my Alocasia’s!
Love your channel

She definitely didn’t water the plants. Im so sorry!
I think you might be right 😔
Most plants can go 2wks without watering..get some self watering pots when you take trips. They will grow back. ❤

You are so right, I keep saying I’m going to do it but the. Don’t. This just might be the push I need.
I no also need to get past the mental block I have up against deliberately releasing thousands of bugs in my house

Thank you, I am glad to be back in spite of all the plant drama. I was an NW3 girl, I lived in Belsize Park.
@@Monefsjungle Belsize Park! A lovely area. Not that far from me :)

That would be so amazing! I’m glad to have you in the community, love meeting other NYC planty people!
Just give eveything a good watering...they will bounce back😮😮
Some are cb doing okay, some will not make it. Some of the anthuriums are not forgiving of drying out that much unfortunately.
Sorry 😢
Thank you, I’m slowly coming to terms with the new normal.

It looks like she watered a few, not twice a week and totally overlooked others altogether.
Exactly! And there is no rhyme or reason to it, completely bizarre.

This is a fantastic idea, thank you, I’m definitely going to be doing that.
Spray with insecticidal soap and alcohol and wipe and rinse I use systemic granules
Thank you, yes, I will get right to treating everyone haha.
Nooooo take spiritus out that smell is root rot don't be foolish like me😂😂 repot repot and London woop woop 😂
I did, stick some tampons in to dry the soil out more quickly!
I do no need to repot it, I might just give it a moss pole once and for all.
