There is, it's a short one at Kirkwall which is where everyone has to begin. It's enough as there are no isles to walk down and in such event the pilot can give instructions as it happens.

I work here am on my break and we only travel from westray to papa westray and vice versa
And there are passengers almost all the time.
I make 30 bucks for one side
And probably 600-700 a day

OK Passengers , Its a 1min 25 second flight ! 25 seconds taking off, 50 seconds crusing at 350 feet and then descending + landing for 50 seconds. For flight safety, just read the safety brochure in the seat pocket. Thank you for flying in advance - The Pilot

The Flight starts at 3:15 (Takeoff) and ends at 5:20 (Landing).

The islander is the absolute best. Back when I used to fly one, we would take all the seats out and load it up with cargo a few times a week. I'd bring a second pilot with me just to make the unloading go faster and.... So on the way back we could take turns lying on the floor in the back while the other person flew. The game was to keep the person in the back "floating in the air" as long as possible. Bonus points If you got them to the ceiling. Fun times. Haha

Currently Auckland, New Zealand to Doha, Qatar with Qatar Airways - 17 hours 40 minutes. The second longest will be London to Perth with Qantas - I'm doing the inaugural LHR-PER, then hopping to AKL for AKL-DOH the next day :)

You can't even crash in this. All you'd do is sprain your ankle.
Probably the hardest flight to do in terms of the pilot. Takeoff and landing are the hardest parts of the flight and essentially, that is all this flight is. A lot of taxiing - take off, and immediately prepare to land and taxi again.
im thinking after a couple of hundred flights it gets kinda easy ;)

If my maths are right you would need to fly this route about 540 times to fit the longest non-stop commercial flight in the world (18 hours 40 minutes)

Grinding for experience, IN REAL LIFE. Jokes asside, if a person is wanting to be in an airlines, he or she would be moving in a snail pace if that person is somewhat assigned there. On the other hand, you could get a lot of practice landing in no time. (Depending if he or she has a lot of flights between these two airports) That in my own oppinion is the reason why this flight is amazing itself.
Could just drive the plane the rest of the way with a couple of floats?

The vlog for this will be online in the next few weeks (haven't finished editing it yet) but sadly no vlog for Jersey as it was a work trip. Next full flight: well fingers crossed I will be able to film LAX-CDG tomorrow, if so that will be next. If not, I have some others up my sleeve :)

Actually yes - Loganair just launched their frequent flyer scheme and they do it based on number of flights rather than miles :)
I took that flight, I think it was about £20 return, worked out It is also one of the worlds most expensive flights £ per mile :-)
Yep it's fairly expensive on a £ per mile basis - but was part of a longer 3-leg flight which was £45 :)
Mine was part of a multi leg flight also, £20 was a guess :) would of paid £45 for just that return. worth it for the experience.
