Fish Boy, couple questions.... I can’t decide to go more parabolic or stout in the action. Have you fished you 806 much? And I’m having trouble seeing the number code before I purchase rods from tackle Warehouse. Is that where you bought your Dobyns? I appreciate all experience of that fury 806.
James Corsiglia yes the 806 is good I love it but still it's to soft for an 8" Hudd. Don't let the numbers confuse you, the first two are the length and the last one is the power, so the 806 is 8' and a 6 power and yes I did get mine from tackle warehouse. Now what you get depends on what you throw, if you want to throw smaller baits (3/4-3oz.) get the 795 but if you want to throw bigger trebles (1-5oz.) go with the 806, now if you want to throw 8" hudds and bug treble hook baits(3-8oz.) buy the savage gear browser rod that is rated 2-8oz., I know the ratings say different than what I say but I've used all these rods and from experience this is what I think.
TEAM RACKIT , if your still thinking about baits. From my research, I’d suggest throwing what you can afford and what your rod, reel and line set up can handle. Seem like 20-25 pound line is the minimum and strong 2-8 oz capacity rods will you get far. Beefing up to at least a 200 size line carrying reel or 300 helps for longevity, casting and cranking power. The name of the game is bigger baits for bigger fish. Good luck!
Awesome info Brice. I am getting in to more swimbaits so this will help out a lot!
Is there one that has a bill that drives?
Hey man love the channel and just wondering should I get a Dobyns 795 fury for my 5-8 hard and soft plastics lures or a 806?
Charles Stanton hey man thanks I did end up getting an 806 and I love it. Got it a while ago,now I know I can trust you.
