Breaking Absolutes is new a hard rock and heavy metal interview show launching as a premiere partner on Twitch this April. More than simply a platform for artists to share their upcoming release, Breaking Absolutes endeavors to peel back the stereotypes and go deeper on the musicianship, the value, and the innovative and broad-reaching emotional appeal of hard rock and heavy metal. Show creators intend Breaking Absolutes to help lead a revival in the interest and consumption of the genre.
Show host, Peter Orullian, is a music industry veteran, having spent years working with major labels and artists to showcase their music across multiple networks and platforms. Some of this work was done with the Xbox platform and brand, where Orullian drove visibility for artists to the gaming demographic. Orullian has also been an international touring vocalist, in addition to recording efforts as a writer and producer for his own music. This enables Orullian to speak with authenticity to working musicians. Orullian is also a veteran interviewer across multiple artist mediums, and is known for insightful and entertaining discussion that builds desire and interest for those with whom he speaks.

What an exceptionally good and intelligently managed interview. Every minute was interesting. Away from the standard of superficial questions, towards going into depth. I think Floor also felt very comfortable.

Floor can come out of this pandemic with her head held high. She has given so much to us all, be it her Storytime films, Fan Fridays, numerous cover versions and songs, all released for free viewing on various platforms. She has provided so much relief through music. She has reacted positively and helped people through these tough times. Particularly from a mental health standpoint. Some of these things may appear small in the grand scheme of things but to someone struggling with anxiety or depression could be just what they needed that day.
Regardless of how many stellar albums she goes on to release, I for one will never forget these smaller things she did out of the goodness of her heart.
Floor is the greatest vocalist I have ever heard, the woman is perfection for my ears.
Hey so....how does one become a ranking member of the army? Just curious.
And one hell of a good human! The world needs more Floor!

What I love about Floor is how honest and open she is, no single moment she gives the impression she is more then a great woman who is just in her place, never a hint of being this 'big star' and always simply being down to earth herself. One of the biggest female voices in the world at this moment who still just records some vocal masterclasses and share them on her TH-cam for everybody to use. When you keep an artist of this caliber smiling and engaged the whole time to the point where she lets you go over time, you've won them over. The Invisible Circles topic is what I think really got the ball rolling since Floor hasn't talked about her AF days in years especially with someone familiar with her career. Not surprising she was so open about her burnout, she clearly enjoyed the talk. Thanks for treating this talented lady the way she deserves to be treated Peter. 🤘
I am so grateful that she was willing. One way I wanted to honor her talent was by trying to cover as many of her accomplishments as I could.

It is always encouraging to hear Floor discuss her time during her burnout. Although I’m not a musician, I’ve been experiencing a horrible burn out with my career (a large part is due to understaffing). It’s so hard on the mind and body to take on so many tasks without any help or relief. Although I continue to endure my burnout during this time, my discovery of Floor and Nightwish have forever changed my life and they have truly saved my life over the last year. Thank you for this great interview!

Brave of Floor to talk about mental health and her struggles. I now have even more respect for her. 'Burnout', depression, and many other complications from mental health complications are far more common than we know, yet few talk about it. Brave souls like Floor make the struggle human, so everyone can see they are not alone. Thank you Floor. My son and I am eternally thankful for you and others who share their experiences.

I am going to Echo what a lot of others have said in these comments. This is one of the best interviews I've seen. It is by far the best interview I've seen with Floor.
My only Issue with Floor Is that she has damaged my ability to appreciate other female singers. I keep comparing their sound to hers and they keep coming up short. It's actually become a bit of a problem for me.

Thank you very much, this conversation was a wonderful surprise, but it is actually no surprise what a natural and down-to-earth personality Floor is and remains. So I hope and wish only the best for Floor and her family and musical environment, which she can master for herself forever in a balanced way, so of course we can unselfishly continue to receive and enjoy a little.
I actually keep my YT consumption low, but of course I always enjoy such conversations, Floor, Nightwish, Ayreon and ... other similar soul helpers.

Breaking Absolutes is a must see!! Dream Theater, Russell Allen and now Floor Jansen. I just live these open talks about subjects that can be difficult to approach. Only Floor got me tearing up when singing....
What I like the most about your interviews is that by starters you come prepared and familiarize with the work of the person you will interview and you give us a semblance in case we don't know them.
Another thing I appreciate a lot is that you don't go for sensational questions, but for a conversation, and you dedicate enough time to let the person you are interviewing express themselves freely and in as much deep as they are willing too.

Only today I discovered this amazing talk with Floor! I've known Nightwish since Sleeping Sun, but only became a true fan since I look with another eyes to Floor'work, during the pandemic crisis. Great interview. It was very interesting from start to finish. I enjoyed finding out some things I didn’t know about Floor and you knew just what to ask. For your own further reference, Js in Dutch are pronounced like Ys. Being an American, when I first started listening to Nightwish I thought it was pronounced Jansen too. While watching the interviews on Beste Zangers I realized her name is pronounced Yansen. 😄🤘

I cannot wait until November when I will see Nightwish for the first time with Floor, I know the whole Covid thing has cause me a lot of issues with my mental health, Music is such an important part of my life and the whole live music scene in the UK has been pretty much closed for 18 months. I watched the virtual shows but they will always fall short of real live music

Fantastic interview, I love how grounded she is and how she speaks so well about such commonly overlooked issues like mental illness, it's great how you manage to make these chats so casually comfortable and less of the usual 'juicy magazine' feel if that makes sense. If you get the opportunity it'd be incredible to see you have a chat with Troy Donockley from Nightwish. He has such a down to earth, funny, interesting personality and his musicianship is out of this world. Definitely very well suited to a show like this!

Going to live-shows is food for my soul. This 18months has been so hard for me. Had many plans in 2020 but all was cancelled. Virtualshows arent for me, although I did an exception with Nightwish and bought a ticket to their virtualshow. It was nice, didint have the same effect, but it was nice. Support the band. I went to my first festival in 2y a week ago. I was in heaven for three days. I am fully vaccinated, have been over six months. Next gig is going to be in a month. Going to see our Eurovision entry 2021 blind channel!! Can’t wait!
I also have a ticket to Nightwish at the end of december.
About covid.. the delta-variant has spread like crazy in my hometown for the past two weeks. By the looks of it We didint get a ”normal summer” as They promised. It came from football-fans that went to russia. Great!
