I love your videos about this car. I just ordered the rx7 + Shock upgrade + afrc v3 gyro and im stoked to enter the hobby. Ill come back to see even more upgrades here as they come. Thanks a lot for the effort and high quality content. greetings from Germany 🤝
Yes! These cars appear to be the go-to car for tinkering and modding. I'd like to see the front suspension get tighter and a variety of wheels. I'm having a hard time finding 1:18 parts. I, too, bought the car, the racing gyro. I want to 3d print a Ford Crown Victoria or a Chevy Impala body!
@@Outrjs I have mine now here. The Suspension upgrade was only suitable for the Balljoints. I printed hard bones to get my desired stance. Its static now, but with that light of a car the Suspension wasnt doing anything. I didnt notice a difference with nicer optics. Putting 15g of wheel balancing weight in the front and gluing in the bearings did a huge improvement. Just be careful to not destroy the bearings. They are cheap industrial ones, so easy to replace. Yeah wheels are a point im still thinking about. I think ill print me some, aside to a widebody 😅
@@gam3s414 Do you have a 3d printer? I subscribed to your channel. I'm here in Kansas City. Post some videos for us to watch. Maybe we can work together to get some parts going for this car.
@gam3s414 Cool, man. I have a toy line I'm working on and am looking for some prototypes and just getting familiar with that side of the industry. Enjoy yourself!
I've had great luck with my gt55 gyro, you should give it a try, mine came with both jr and jst plugs and it drives incredibly smooth, even on original servo
I did try the Surpass Hobby servo in my NSX video. Its plug n play, there is not modification needed to get it to fit. But for some reason it performed worse than the stock NSX servo. Not sure why, these cheap electronics can be finicky.
@APEXRCGARAGE thats awesome 👌. I have a surpass servo and agrc v4 gyro in my car with a few other goodies but i think all im missing from my setup is just a bit of ackerman. Do u have an online store at all? Id love to pay for a couple prints
@@TURBOMOOSE So this servo horn will only fit the Injora which is 5.8mm. Im not sure about the Surpass servo size. Might be worth looking into, Ive heard that servo mentioned a few times. I don't have an online store right now, I plan to just upload for free on Thingiverse! If someone doesnt have access to a 3d printer it may be a good idea to open a small store!
I think any remaining shake is from play in the bearings. I'm considering measuring mine and ordering higher grade ones. You can also order spares of the metal hex hubs from the rear, they fit in the front and seem to have slightly less play and add some weight low down. I'm planning to replace the steering ball joints with higher quality metal ones, and I think there's a metal knuckle available for a WL Toys drift RC that will fit the LDRC. There's also an international youtuber who added shocks to his with basic parts that I'm looking to copy too. I love how moddable the chassis is for the price, I look forward to seeing what other upgrades you do.
I did make some 3d printed front wheel hubs/axles that got rid of a lot of play in the front wheels. I think the front suspension is okay, the advantage of going to mono shock up front would be to get a deeper steering angle. Right now I have it maxed out just before it hits the small metal spring rod thing. I think I’ve seen his channel, definitely a fun cheap chassis to tinker with!
could you make a video on how to adjust the suspension and toe/camber for this car, as a beginner would help a lot
Your style of video is really enjoyable. Thank you for your tips and tricks, just ordered 2 injora 2065 for my LDRCs (RX7 & NSX)

Do both car bodies benefit from the 3d printed servo horn or did this body just need it for sharper angle??
Both bodies would benefit from the 3d printed servo horn. But I had to make this servo horn because the stock horn doesn’t fit the Injora Servo.
How are your front tires wearing in with the -5 camber?
The tires dont seem to wear much on my smooth vinyl flooring. I think if you were drifting on concrete the tires would wear very fast
The style of Your Videos is great!
Fun to watch!
Do You know the Surpass Hobby 9g also?
Is it similar?

@@APEXRCGARAGE Ah ok, thanks a lot. So I will buy the Injori!
Loving the content! Just got one of these as well! Have you tried aftermarket servos with the factory gyro?
I have, still gets the weird shake where it straightens out the wheel mid drift. I would definitely upgrade the gyro before the servo.
Does your print of steering horn add ackerman at all?
It does add a some. I’ve also messed with the tie rod length quite a bit.

It’s definitely not perfect.. I’m very amateur at 3d modeling 😂. But I will upload to thingiverse when I get a chance!
