    I just bought the F19 and was found the instructions a bit confusing especially the volume. You exactly explained it all perfectly. I’ll probably watch four or five to make sure I’ve got. I’m excited about this machine and hope I find some nice relics with it. Thank you for this excellent tutorial.

    HI,i have the G2+(f19),the fetone is great,set vol at 10(no iron) then just set my v break at low tone 40(greyzone)then from48(blackzone on v break)up hightone.your hightrash set up works a treat.so thanks for the video and knowledge.Dirtfishings tip on raising coil over a target is spot on,if numbers stay stable its good,if they drop right off its junk.Thanks to all you fisher+teknetics fans,who have taught me many tricks and of course to mowerdog who posts many honest videos,unlike many where their bias slips in consciously or unconsciously. • @masterofrevolt106
      @masterofrevolt106 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The raising the coil trick does not work on all junk targets. Strangely it works well for me with lower freq Fisher machines but not with the F19 on bottle caps. Dave Johnson of First Texas has posted a few tricks in other forums for this very reason. The one that works for me on bottle caps is to not raise the coil but continue swinging the coil normally on the target but move it forward and when the heel of the coil passes on top of the target the numbers will instantly drop in a major way (typically 79 to iron range 30 or so on a new Coors Light bottle cap). On gold jewelry, nickels, silver, copper coins the ID will diminish slightly but just by a few numbers (less than 10 for me and typically 2 or 3) before it completely disappears.

    • @mowerdog
      @mowerdog  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also had trouble with ultra tiny foil and stuff you couldn't even see. I mean these machines are sensitive! I could run my machine at 100 sensitivity because it just ran so smooth. But it made it pick up the smallest pieces of crap while jewelry and coin hunting. So in that case I would run my power at 60 to 70 and still got good depth but it didn't hit all those tiny pieces of foil. If you were nugget hunting then running full power finding small nuggets is what you want. Coin hunting it is not. Give it a try...

    • @masterofrevolt106
      @masterofrevolt106 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can definitely relate when you mention the machine picks up stuff you can't see. I don't know how many times I've gone to the beach, dug a hole and couldn't see the target in the sand. Even my pin pointer could not sniff out the target at times. It ended up being extremely small low conductive junk most of the time. I have found that changing coils will make a significant difference in the size of the targets that the F19 picks up. The bigger the coil, the less small foil one will pick up. The bigger coil is much less sensitive to very small, very low conductors. I have noticed this mainly between the 11 DD standard and the Detech Ultimate coil which are the two primary coils I use (at the beach). Thanks for the video.

    • @mowerdog
      @mowerdog  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is no doubt I would choose the F19. You will give up some depth on dimes and up. But it's maybe an inch. The ID on the 70 and 75 jumps sometimes 20 to 30 points on deeper targets that the 19 hits correctly and solid. As far as mid upper targets and down to foil the f19 has the depth advantage with solid ID's. Plus the 19 runs super stable with high sensitivity while the 70, 75 and 75dst is still jittery when you crank them up. All mentioned are fine machines though. My pick - F19. Here's a tip. The F19 is supposed to be coming out in regular Fisher colors. When that happens and the new Teknetics G2+ (exact same guts as F19 but different handle) the F19 price is supposed to drop about $100. You may wait just a little to see if all this comes about?

      I did not like the Racer. The ID was too jumpy and it was real coil heavy. The tones sucked for me too. The grip angle wasn't good either. The F19 has a much better solid target ID. Is not coil heavy. Is lighter weight. Has cheaper coils. I still believe the F19 and G2 are the best machines First Texas has come out with. I wish they were waterproof.

      mowerdog thanks I just bought my first machine 3 weeks ago first a Garret ace 250 . Then I sent it back before using it . The x Terra 305 went on sale for 259$ has a manual ground balance and blows the Garret away and minelab gives Veterans and military 15% off so I ended up paying only 220$ . It’s a fun machine so far but I’m already starting to look at machines in the 500$ range . Thanks I haven’t really heard anything bad about the F19 and I already plan on getting an F pulse . After much research that seems to be the best pinpointer around .

      I would pick the 305 over the F19 though. More options, tones, freq, more notch. I have owned three 305's. One of my all time favs. Got my eye on the ML Equinox. I'm waiting until the 1st run is sold out. May get one in a month or so. I do quite a bit of water hunting and need waterproof machines. Right now I have an etrac and atpro. I can do most all typed of hunting with those 2. But the smell of a fresh machine sounds good too! th-cam.com/video/XJpO094xSQ0/w-d-xo.html

      mowerdog if I could afford an etrac I’d definitely get one . Maybe I’ll look into a used Safari .

      The Time Ranger Pro is exactly the same as the F19 for a lot less money.
