Great build! I've been adding modeling clay inside the hulls of my builds to add weight. It makes the models feel more solid and also keeps them in place better if mounted on dioramas at an angle.
For my builds I used a slightly different approach and came up with the colour/color "Tamiya Deck Tan XF-55" paint for the basis of the overall Israeli colour/color scheme. I found it to be lighter but also earther, and also for it to be more authentic to the Israeli colour/color scheme of the Negav Desert. I've also built the three model kits of the Israeli M51 Sherman currently available by Dragon, Academy, and lastly this Tamiya model! Now ask me which one's the best kit? Well, they all have something to offer but the Tamiya is probably the most accurate in the way the model presents in its overall stance. The hull and the turret are crucial areas for this model to get right proportionally when you compare them side by side... on another note, Dragon also makes a model of the M50 Super Sherman and is quite a true and accurate representation. 🤔

I enjoyed the classical music and you have also done a great job filming and adding commentary when necessary. I built lot of models when I was young, then would blow them up with fire crackers or something crazy like that. Too bad you don't have a website to sell your kits on line, I'd certainly support you.
Hi Andy, I would just like to say that you have done a great job of the M51. I have got this kit in my stash to FINISH but have had a problem with it, I dropped the muzzle brake on the floor and promptly stood on it. I ordered a up-date set for the M51 but was not happy with the size of the M/B it seemed a little on the small side, but seeing your build I must get it out and finish the project. Andy, you got me back into models. I never painted models as a kid. I built this model but do not have an air-brush. I guess I spray paint it black. then desert yellow then hand paint things. I do not know how the painting process could be simplified?

Tamiya kits in general are good for people of all experiences. I can recommend both for newcomers. Hell, I can recommend any Tamiya 1/35 scale armor for a beginner. They have great fits, great detail out of the box, and simple construction. Also, to answer another one of your comments that you've been spamming, I would say 30$ for a 1/35 scale kit is pretty good. Some run you closer to 50$. Model building aint cheap. Especially when you get more advanced and get into aftermarket stuff. 30$ just for the tracks. they are metal. but are they worth as much as the kit?

Any tips for an Alternate Berlin diorama? I'm trying to build one that is 20x30 feet (Yes, it is that big) But I cannot find any affordable german/American Tanks that are highly detailed, but the only ones I've seen are revell kits from the local Michaels.

What kind of glue are you using and what is the drying time? Do you have to let it set before moving on to another step?
It looks like he is using tamiya extra thin cement. I recommend it as it does the job really well. It doesnt take long for the glue to dry.
