  • Wilesco D32 model steam engine. Model: D32 Manufactured by: Wilesco Country of origin: Germany Base: 17" x 21" Height: 15 1/2" Flywheel diameter: 4" Weight: 16 pounds 10 oz. Condition: excellent--including original box, owners manual, funnel, spring belts, extra gaskets, This is the big monster that every collector wants. The D32 is an electrically heated, twin cylinder, horizontal stationary steam engine. Electric engines are very convenient to operate. The voltage is 220v, 1300 watts. I believe that Wilesco quit manufacturing this model in the early 1970's. It is hard to find these in good condition but nearly impossible to find one in this condition.

Someone probably downloaded the operations manuel in 2008 however you have one of the lovely first grey base models that are absolutely fantastic. Also it has the baby blue cylinder covers. Keep a good hand on it and lubricate all points. They are saught after. Nice!

Looks identical to my machine and this is from 1969. Wilesco stopped production in the very early 80ies

Produced in the 60's, where discontinued in the 70's for as far i know. Brought back now in 2018 as a 500 pc limited edition.

Had 2 D32el stationary steam engines. Wasn't to impressed about the build quality after a period of ownership. Details such as the rough cast connecting rods and the fit of them was a bit of a let down. The engine made a knocking sound when run at speed and the chimney had a sharp cheese cutter like edge on it's lower end. This edge was however contained within the black cup at the end of the boiler when the engine was run. The newer of the 2 had plastic domed nuts on the control knob fasteners and a Schuko mains plug. Controls from the left are the throttle valve, a cylinder oiler cup with screw in plug, and the water feed pump return valve. Closure of this valve causes water to be fed into the boiler from the righthand reservoir/tray compartment. The centre tray collects the emulsified oil/condensed steam from the chimney cup.12:41

I have a d32, with no original clutch pad. Do you know what kind of material they used for the clutch pad?
