I know i feel the same way, I recently just started watching him but I think his accent is cool. And besides I think it's fun trying to figure out what he's saying, boost my vocabulary and all.
not only are your efforts to make your speech easier to parse working fine but the flow of your narration is absolutely perfect. you may be one of the most enjoyable voices on youtube imo
Cammy don’t sweat it. You speak just fine. You do you. Your true fans are hear to learn from you, not grade your English or judge your accent. You rock!😊
Cammy, I love your voiceovers! You're not too Scottish at all 😆Interesting that their fleece is thinner as they get older, never really thought of that
Speaking from Applachia in there US, where alot of Irish and Scottish people settled, I LOVE your accent. And it takes me a minute or two when you let go and relax and speak normally, but I can understand you, at least most of what you say.
I will admit that having listened to you for two years, understanding the Scottish snooker announcers is much easier. Sending love your way from Texas, USA.
Honestly, I'd love to hear an episode every now and then with you speaking as you truly do. I love practicing understanding various dialects and accents. It helps with my job in customer service.
I remember the first time I saw a picture of these sheep. It was maybe 7-9 years ago. I cried because they were the cutest sheep I'd ever seen. Then I saw the Highland cows with them and squealed! Ran and showed my husband the pic. Now granted my Dad was dying of Leukemia at the time but seeing their pics brought me happiness. Seeing you trim these two gentle Giants was enjoyable. Their wool is gorgeous! Such beautiful boys. 💕🫶 🐏🐏🐏
Aww, I enjoy listening to you speak; it's a touch of the old country, and it makes me smile to hear it. I was impressed how down-to-the-wire it was for those two; a wholly professional job in each case, congratulations!
YES!! This is my favourite sheep breed. I love these guys! Thanks for the video, it's a great one as usual! I enjoy everything, the shearing, your comments and the little bit of challenge
You say you are "difficult to understand", which is true for me, but only because English isn't my native language and I've never even been to Scotland. I'll make an effort to understand, just as other viewers. You should speak as much as you want/need, it's a great pleasure to listen to you! As a total outsider (I'm Russian), I find Scottish pronunciation very cozy, it's like a thick woollen blanket on a chilly day - just perfect as it is. It's only by historical happenstance this of that locality of a language becomes "normal", "sophisticated", "upperclass" or whatever, while in reality EVERY language and dialect is proper, beautiful, and precious.
Oh wow look at the size of them & I’m so thick because every time I’ve seen them & only once or twice I’ve always thought they have funny ears they are not ears I can see now they have been shaved they are horns 😂😂 thank you cammy I definitely need to go to specsavers 😂
I love listening to you Cammy. It doesn’t take long to learn the other scottish words. I find myself saying Aye a lot now, even though I’m Australian 😂
Handspinner from California here. I love your content. It’s great to see all the British breeds up close. I love hearing about the history of the breed and any other information about the wool characteristics. And yeah, it can be a bit tricky to understand you 😂😂 I wish there were subtitles and also translations of any slang words. But I’m not complaining. It’s really lovely to see you work…and of course the wool.
I don’t know who has shamed you so about your accent, but I fine it pleasant to hear and not at all difficult to understand. I love watching you shearing. It’s amazing how you handle such large animals so gently and expertly. ❤
For some reason, I thought those Valley Black Nose sheep were a smaller breed 😮. They seem like they are very well behaved gentlemen 😊. Hard work, wow to say the least. That was fun to stop and watch.
Definitely feel free to speak as much or as little as you like! I'm American, but I haven't had any issues understanding you in this or any other videos. Personally, I rather like listening to your commentary and if we mishear a word or two that's normal.
Cammy, I’ve followed you long enough that I don’t have trouble understanding your Scottish accent. I think Giant was harder to shear because of his size.
That is a lot of wool on these guys. I only watch your videos because of the Scottish accent! 🤣 That's just banter Cammy, I watch both for the Scottish accent and the cute sheep!
Nice too see you wearing a ' Lakeland Shears, tee shirt..! ( the design was from a lady near Haweswater called Wendy Martin...she had a soft spot for Herdwicks. ! And she donated the logo to 'Lakeland Shears' for promoting Herdwicks. Bob
Great video! Everyone loves a scottish accent whether we can understand you or not. Definitely getting better at understanding you after watching a lot of your videos.😂
Love to see the different breeds of sheep. Love your Scottish accent. It's not much more difficult to understand than many regional accents here in the US like in the deep south, etc. It was so bad one time that I mistook the words " heart pine floors" for " hot tubs and spas". LOL it's fun to watch the automatic closed captioning on you tube try to make sense of the various English dialects. Your voice overs are great!
I ve now watched twice more so I did nt miss anything…fan bloomin tastic. The more I look at these Valais Blacknose…I m convinced the character design of Yoda from Star Wars is based on these sheep.
On the one hand... RAMS. Tough! Manly! Powerful! Massive! Except... no matter what's under the hood, the Valais Blacknose breed always look like adorable plush toys to me. 🧸🧸🤣😅🤣😅
That is the cutest sheep ever…love the horns, though I can see what they are difficult to shear around. They are sheep teddy bears! Must be exhausting to shear though. I have no trouble understanding you…and I would like to hear you speak in your true dialect.
Awe honey nooo! We love the Scottish accent here in the US, it’s taking me back to my roots! Don’t feel like you don’t get a chance to talk, please do! I got addicted to watching these videos, I think the accent really helps 😂 plus I am a full city gal so I know nothing about farm life, so this is quite educational, plus tbh shearing looks like it feels really nice, like scratching the itches all over your body
Hi Dear!! Frankly? The accent is a big part of why I subscribe!!!😂🤣♥️‼️🙋♀️ yes, you’re a good shearer,BUT? The accent! Love a beautiful Scottish accent!!! Thanks for another great video!!!🙋♀️‼️☮️⭐️🥰
They sweetest little lambs they make though. Do they ever need to have their horns trimmed? I noted that those horns grow so close to their eyes. Like the mom says on “a Christmas Story” about the BB gun the little boy wanted. “ No you will poke your eye out” well … these horns look like they not only poke out another ram’s eye but he can poke out his own. 🤣 Cammy, have you ever watched any of the Texas Longhorn cattle come out of the barns? It is amazing. I’m Canadian but visited family in Texas. That is impressive but, the do trim their horns.
I can't imagine the longevity of someone in this line of work! Seriously, having to wrangle those big boys on the daily must contribute to serious back pain. But good on you for the work you do sir!!
Native New Yorker here! The occasional word of dialect throws me, but in general you're pretty easy to understand, Cammy! (I use auto-subtitles, too, which are occasionally VERY amusing, but do help. ;) )
Loved this video. They really are the cutest sheep on the planet, in my opinion. Great job on the shearing, you must have been knackered after that! oh, btw, I've been binge-watching Still Game on YT after you mentioned Iza. My nights are spent, cackling like a crazy woman, in front of my laptop! Thanks for the hot tip!
Olly has the better shave overall, so think you would have gotten higher score on Olly -- Watching the bag get shaved is just funny. Should be feeling a bit breezy now down below. Guess that's why Scots must wear sporran with their kilts. Sheep envy.
absolutely BEAUTIFUL both of them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why dont you take a black nose lamb to make it a pet ?????????? to show us his life ????????????? would be very nice !!!!!!!! how i wish to have one
Ah Cammy, It's adorable when you're talking "proper", personally I prefer hearing the Scots, I love it when the mic picks up you talking to other Scots speakers, and you slip into a much broader accent, but I can understand with an international audience why you've done it. I've been tempted to transcribe some of the Sheep Game videos in scots with an English translation, when a bunch of folks are like "help I can't understand". I was raised in Cumbria, my family is Scottish and I went to uni in Aberdeen, so Lowland and Central Scots are nae bother for me to understand, compared to Doric they're easy! I'm always like "What do you mean you can't understand it's clear as day what he means" but I'm used to it I guess.
Aaahhh Cammy speak away love listening to you
After listening to you for a few years I understand you just fine.
I know i feel the same way, I recently just started watching him but I think his accent is cool. And besides I think it's fun trying to figure out what he's saying, boost my vocabulary and all.
My mother was from Ayrshire and although not as broad it’s a familiar accent for me

You go ahead and speak all you can. I love a Scottish accent.
not only are your efforts to make your speech easier to parse working fine but the flow of your narration is absolutely perfect. you may be one of the most enjoyable voices on youtube imo
Cammy don’t sweat it. You speak just fine. You do you. Your true fans are hear to learn from you, not grade your English or judge your accent. You rock!😊

The acottish accent ad voiceover are literally the best thing about your channel !! Lovely scottish accent
I love your voice overs you have a relaxing voice. You honestly get easier to understand the more I watch your videos.

I love listening to you Cammy. It doesn’t take long to learn the other scottish words. I find myself saying Aye a lot now, even though I’m Australian 😂
You could have Scottish ancestors like I do ! Mine are Morton's from Ayrshire near Loudoun Hill near Darvel.
Sorry I'm Australian too.
@@44Burgess my ancestors are Welsh ( northern) so not so far from Ayrshire🙂

2 beautiful fleeces.
Both of those sheep must be Rear Wheel Drive: I saw Cammy shaving the rear differential. 🤣🐑
I don’t know who has shamed you so about your accent, but I fine it pleasant to hear and not at all difficult to understand. I love watching you shearing. It’s amazing how you handle such large animals so gently and expertly. ❤
Some more beautiful sheep! Valais Blacknose always have such pretty coats. Great job shearing!
I can’t hardly believe how this looks so easy by cammy I have a heck of s time just doing my five pound dog
Wow, that was a job and a half Cammie. I really enjoyed the video
For some reason, I thought those Valley Black Nose sheep were a smaller breed 😮. They seem like they are very well behaved gentlemen 😊. Hard work, wow to say the least. That was fun to stop and watch.
The Valais Blacknose have an awesome temperament. They are known for it. I am in a breeding up program in New Zealand for them. Very exciting.
Beautiful rams! I enjoy your voice overs!🐑🐑

I love your accent!! Please keep speaking! And excellent work. Goodness, I've heard of Manscaping, but those boys brought it to a whole new level.
Oh my! They are absolute units. Well done there!
I enjoy listening to the Scottish accent. Lost my dad 4 years ago. He was from Eyemouth reminds me of him.
Of all the species, this is the cutest and most beautiful .... to me.
Love your voice in the voice over.. to hear that it's a huge effort so speak so clearly.. well I'd like to hear you speak the natural too =))
Cammy, I’ve followed you long enough that I don’t have trouble understanding your Scottish accent. I think Giant was harder to shear because of his size.

Beautiful job on those big boys. I would love to have one of those fleeces!
Me too! 😍
FWIW, your accent is lovely, easy to understand, and quite pleasant to this Texan.
That is a lot of wool on these guys. I only watch your videos because of the Scottish accent! 🤣 That's just banter Cammy, I watch both for the Scottish accent and the cute sheep!

I have a Valais skull in my collection, and it's my prize!! One day when I own land I will keep a flock of Valais. Love them!!!
I think I'd get this breed if I had sheep. Their markings make them look like toys...they're so cute!
I am really learning a lot about the different kinds of sheep! I love this idea !
Your channel is awesome!!! Enjoy it so much! Btw, the Scottish accent is thee best 🥰🥰🥰
