*I PURCHASED 2 LOG CABINS...THEY ARE NOW SET UP ON MY PENNSYLVANIA PROPERTY...THEY WHERE BUILT BY LANCASTER LOG CABINS in GAP PA...THEY ARE 16ft ×40ft...$41.000 each ...they came completely set up...they have 3 axles under each one...both of these are now rented out on AIR BNB...*
Agree .. we have pocket doors on bedroom and bathroom ..saves so much space. Our place is 4 metres x 10 metres .. about 14 x 34. Our floor plan is a bit different tho.. bedroom one end..living and kitchen in centre..bathroom/laundry other end..with big cupboard in corner for linen and storage.
It may be small but couldn't you and Jason build a bathroom/laundry room off one side? that would give you more bedroom space!! Looking forward to seeing what you do!
She'd to house is a good decision. Looking forward to the process. Do yo thang don't let others get you down. Stay chill and I think Jason is right ( probably a first for me to agree with him) stay calm and keep the subscriptions.
Jared...I have unofficially adapted you as a Son I never had!...you are just an amazing young man,I'm so impressed with how you prevail in all the building task etc..I'm 64 years old like your real Dad,and I would love to be there helping you build your new 🏡!...keep it up bubba,Bubba, love your entire family...your my favorite tho..😆
I didn't see a back door so maybe make your bedroom window a little bigger just in case you need to get out and can't get to the front door 🤷♀️.... I love the layout 👍❤️.... Making progress on the carport, it looks awesome 💪👊❤️
That’s like the one in my yard. It has a porch on the front, you walk in to the kitchen and the living room. Go down the hall, bathroom and 1st bedroom on the left and second bedroom at the end. I attached a portable car porch on it, on the right side. Mine is yellowish green siding with hunter green medal top. Mine is 14x60 cabin.
Good layout but I would go a little wider. The extra two feet would make a huge difference. I'd also go with pocket doors like others have suggested. Best of Luck with your build.
Your shed/tiny house sounds fantastic. Love the “one wall plumbing plan “ it’s very practical and least likely to have problems . Very smart and efficient use of necessary plumbing/ water runs.
Congratulations on deciding to get a shed! Get it big enough for your needs. Don't worry about getting one big enough for a family. When that time comes around, let her get her own shed. Then when you're feeling amorous you can raise your eyebrows & ask, Your shed or mine? ;)
Jared your place is going to look great. You’ve cut necessary corners to get what you want. Your patience and creativity are working in your favor. I’m anxious to see the results. Best wishes to you. Looking forward to the next scenario.
Smart Idea Jared and Jason I think it would faster for all of you to finish Jared's home first to cool of in and relax in while you all finish Jason and Danielle's home
Sounds like a plan Jared. like everyone said pocket doors. Maybe a island on wheels. since you have the tractor do a small storage bunker for under your bed. It's your world we're just living in it.
Jared I'm so pleased you decided to go that route, I think it will be better that way. Considering the unpredictable weather there. I'm loving the car port too. I love the tune you put in whilst you were putting the stain on. Xx
Coming from someone who used to move a lot, I would make the closet wall all cubicle shelves with a place in the middle of the top for your tv. All you clothes and shoes fit in them nicely or you can add the cube baskets to them. You could put any hanging clothes on the back of your door or by the washer/dryer. I did away with dressers in my bedrooms because this works better. Can't wait to see your place when it comes in.
Great choice, not only on the color/stain choices, but on the Derksen purchase as well. They are built well, for out buildings, but converted for living easily with the knowledge ya'll already have, piece of cake! Happy for ya to be moving in a direction! Love what you're doing ❤️
Aw, i was hoping you were going with the bigger log cabin your Dad I think mentioned, (partially built by the cabin people) ! So your Mom and Dad could move up there with you, until y'all build them a house, and Matt could build his own place, too! Those colors are amazing! You guys are building a gorgeous "Shootdang Crocker Compound" out there!
I watch a tiny home channel, and they build 8'x16' tiny homes, with a kitchen area, bathroom, and a living room/bedroom combo. With or without a loft. Jared, your house will be huge compared to that. Also, sliding barn doors might take up less space than swinging doors.
Sounds great! It makes sense for your kitchen to be there because when you come home with groceries your counters are right there . Can’t wait to see the process im excited for you. Best of luck
You're working hard and getting it done. Picturing the layout of where your house will be with the carport in front is a nice change up. The land scape rocks by your carport is a nice touch!
You mentioned that you planned a window in the bathroom. You might think of putting in a corner shower in the bathroom, and have a backdoor with a window in it on the left side. Then build a spa tub outside like you had at the ranch. If you have a back door in the bath, you could build a deck the width of the home outside, for the spa. Every home should have a second way to get out if there was ever a fire.
It's going to look good !! Glad to see you went with a 14 foot wide, you'll be glad you did !! Make sure you anchor your new home down so a twister can't take it away.
Glad to hear you’re going this route. So much easier when you’re doing so much on your own. Pocket doors make sense. I hate that you’re giving up on your dream of a dishwasher. They make 18” built in ones. It will look great whatever you decide to do.
Love it. If you moved your sectional against your bedroom wall you would be able to put in a sliding glass door off the back for a deck and mount your tv on the porch wall so you could watch it while cooking if you want. I know you and jason could build a cute fold up/down table for under your tv. It would open up your kitchen area. My fold down table is like 18 x 3ft folded down but when the leaves are up will sit 6 comfortably. Mine stores chairs under it but i love the ones with drawers under it for storage. I have been considering a tiny my self. In theirs they put cupboards aroung the wall top and bottom. The table stores between two cabinets on the bottom so you can pull it out or stow it away.
I am so excited to see your place coming along so well. Being a woman and always needing to put my 2 cents in, I want to mention something. Please don’t get mad🥰🥰. How about using the whole shed for your interior rather than using sq. footage on a porch. Moving the door to the front of the building to come into the living room and then just build your own porch across the front. You would have a great view and larger interior. I love your channel and have a difficult time believing a great woman has not snatched you up yet. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
Looking really good Jared colors are very rustic classy . Happy for you that you made your decision on a shed to house . All the greenery and the birds singing is so peaceful .💕
Black stainless will be beautiful ,will look great like a great room kitchen living room open concept. This 80 year old thinks you have some great ideas. Prayers and blessings from Mississippi.
Sounds like a great plan to me. Pocket doors are great for small spaces. The only thing I would change would to have the front porch at least 5-6 feet in depth. A small place like that, you'll spend a lot of time outdoors. You can relax in a rocker or porch swing at night, those rainy sprinkly nights and enjoy the beautiful nights
I would really love it if I could help my brother out and get along with him as well as y'all do. He lives in Iowa now and I'm in Alabama. Don't get me wrong. I love my brother and I thank him for everything that he's done to help me but I'd love to be able to give back to him to say thank you for being there for me
Have you thought about doing a built in sectional couch with storage underneath for extra pillows and blankets for guest, and storing off season clothes? So excited to see what you guys build. My husband wants to live in a tiny house, but we get on each other’s nerves too much for that🥴. 27 years together can do that to a couple. Hahaha
Perfect sized home! Love the layout. I have to fix up my house to sell it so that I can buy a tiny home! Went from over 3000sq ft - 2000sq ft, & want to now go smaller &vput a tiny home/shed on my sons property. Love both of the channels. 💗💗
I love you both, I have two sets of grandkids twin and I just love how both of you look after each other. You're building a business together and that's so amazing. I will take a "shed trash"any day! I'm a black woman, country raised and I just love what you both are doing. Amazing talent. Love your life, continue bringing happiness to your audience.
Glad you’re going for a shed, it will get you settled quicker. Check out apartment size furniture and appliances, they have some pretty amazing designs that do double duty. Can’t wait for the work to begin!
Jarod it looks amazing! I’m happy for you, you sound excited about the shed to house. It will be perfect. If you decide you need more space in the future you can always add on. Excited for you:)
It sounds great ! You can get those islands on wheels too so you can move it around . I have a galley kitchen , so I bought a table on wheels with a cabinet under it , seating for two , at each end of it the top is ceramic tiles . Everything sounds awesome ! It’s getting exciting isn’t it ! Can’t wait to see everything come together!
Excited for you! You are making it look great there. Glad you are getting that style. Suits you well. Can’t wait to see the progress. I hear the excitement in your voice. 🤍
Hello Jared and Jason, shed to house will be great for you. Carport is looking awesome 👌. Landscaping looks nice. Slowly all coming together. You guys rock!!, peace ✌️
Love the colors you guys chose for everything. The layout of the shed is cool, has a good flow to it. I like the placement of the carport in the front instead of the norm on the side. 👍🏻
Congrats! So happy your buying a shed to home. That's will give you a big jump start. Option. On the side wall in living room. You said a 3x5 window. I would put a door there and build a covered deck the length of the house.
Jared, consider a bed with a narrow bookcase style headboard and storage drawers underneath. Compact storage with electric plugs for charging phone, a light, etc.
I've hear comments that the combo washer that also dries that people regretted choosing. I would research that to make sure its best for you. It would allow you to put a small closet over it and maybe a drawer base for storage.
I think what you are doing is just fantastic, it's absolutely perfect for you Jared. I just can't wait to see you continue and your new home build have a good evening hugs
Question ? Since your room is 8 ft wide, what about placing your bed along that back wall with maybe a couple corner shelves drilled into each side for a lamp and cell phone or clock or whatever. That way you will have so much floor space open at the beginning of the room and you can also walk around both sides of the bed to change sheets and such. It always looks good to have a bed on that back wall in rooms so it feels more open. You could always put a dresser on the opposite wall that the door swings left on or the other one. Just a thought.
Looks really NICE together. Loving the color scheme. Can't wait to see your shed to house and all what you're going to do inside. That gun metal stainless steel is so keen and clean looking. You're going to be very happy with your choice Jared. TC Peace
So happy for you that you are going with the shed.. Didn't you mention before about getting a dishwasher? They make them half the size of a regular one.
Sounds like a plan. I was hoping you would have an oven since you didn't have one in Tx. That washer/dryer will be awesome to have. Good luck!! Can't wait to see what you do..
What you designed WOW 😲.. Your layout is perfect has everything that you need what more would you want Love the color scheme loved it when you guys did it on the shooting headquarters and I think in the woods that is really going to look phenomenal can't wait to see what comes next.
I said it for a long time, Jared… “do your best and F*€k the rest!” I am pumped to see the build , and love the layout!! Carport is looking legit AF as well!!! Pumped for you Bubba
Jared, most average bathrooms are 5'X8'. with tub at the end[5'] so you are bigger. But 5x8 is pretty standard, and you'd have a bit more Bed room. Think about putting a sliding door/s to save room in your bath. When do you get it? I bet you can't wait!
Depending on the size of your bed you should have plenty of room for you in that bedroom, I'm excited for you Shootdang 🥰 An island with barstools would look great 👍🥰 You know 🤔 they do make small dishwashers that don't use a lot of water but clean very well, they are made for single people 😉😂🥰
The car port looks awesome! I love your choice of paint colors! I agree with some of the comments about pocket doors, sounds like you just about have gotten your plan together! Keep up the awesome work!
A 4 foot porch seems so small and unusable except for storage. I personally don’t like to look at or walk through storage to enter my home. A more spacious deck would be my preference.
I think that’s perfect for you. It’s just you, ans you have room to expand. Love it. 💖💖💖. I love how you are all keeping with the colors of the headquarters, black as the main color. You’re doing a great job. I REALLY LOVE HOW YOU BROTHERS WORK TOGETHER, REMINDS ME OF MY FAMILY 💙💙💙
Yeah.a couple of thoughts... Immediate one was Cavity Doors. You call Pocket Doors. Also, looking at a few Tiny House examples; most satisfied people said their 'life {sanity} saver' was a BIG Covered Deck / Porch/Outdoor Room, which gave them expanded lifestyle / activity options. Your porch looks a bit teeny. It's proportional to the footprint of the house - but it doesn't need to be. And you could bring a nice broad deck around in an L shape, to expand your living space out from the Lounge too - via Sliding Glass or French style doors. I don't know if you Jared plan to live there 'forever' or just for a time, but if you folks have some vague ideas about maybe turning this eventually into a guest stay / Air BNB type accommodation then a larger deck will make it more attractive also. 😉👍

The layout looks great! You May want to look into pocket doors for the bedroom and bathroom to save space
Yes ma'am that's one of the options I might go with since it's a small place.
Agree .. we have pocket doors on bedroom and bathroom ..saves so much space. Our place is 4 metres x 10 metres .. about 14 x 34. Our floor plan is a bit different tho.. bedroom one end..living and kitchen in centre..bathroom/laundry other end..with big cupboard in corner for linen and storage.
I'm with Mel, Pocket doors on the inside would be the best bet because it saves a lot of space.
Congratulations best idea ever
Lumnah Acres installed pocket doors in the wall of his barn dominium from a kit he purchased. Love what you are planning for your home.
It may be small but couldn't you and Jason build a bathroom/laundry room off one side? that would give you more bedroom space!! Looking forward to seeing what you do!

Hi 👋 how are you doing?
I like the carport, looks rustic modern and that will be nice for keeping your vehicles more protected from weather including hail

Dude, shed to hoise is perfect for you. The color combo for the ranch is super sexy and sophisticated. Love it❤
I love the layout and agree about the pocket doors. No matter what, you will make this your home! Things are really moving along! Congrats. Take care!

What a great plan. Maybe consider the small cabinet on the right be a rolling butcher block that you could roll in and out.

Great idea!

I like the layout ... Perfect for you and smart about plumbing all on 1 side. If you put the island on wheels so you can move it out of the way.
Feels like home more and more with each strick of the paint brush,go Jason, Shootdang road rocker man.
Jared your dogs can walk through the walls of your house! LOL I love it I think it’s going to be awesome for you.
You guys! Working together getting things done.
Can't wait for the shed to house to come to life. You will do a great job, as always.
We bought a Dirksen cabin that is 12X16, turned it into a guest house! it has barn doors, we closed off one of the doors! we love it!!!
Glad you’re going for a shed, it will get you settled quicker. Check out apartment size furniture and appliances, they have some pretty amazing designs that do double duty. Can’t wait for the work to begin!
Great idea.
Good idea!

Hi how are you doing?
20:58 hahaha love you guys! lol.. in tears haaha.. its going to be awesome
I'm glad you're going with the Shed to House! 🏡
Jared, consider a bed with a narrow bookcase style headboard and storage drawers underneath. Compact storage with electric plugs for charging phone, a light, etc.
I agree with you Jared, the separate bedroom would be a must for me too. I’m excited to see it come together
I've hear comments that the combo washer that also dries that people regretted choosing. I would research that to make sure its best for you. It would allow you to put a small closet over it and maybe a drawer base for storage.
@@lisafoote482 he corrected & said stack washer dryer
I think what you are doing is just fantastic, it's absolutely perfect for you Jared. I just can't wait to see you continue and your new home build have a good evening hugs

The colors look nice 👍🏼 That shed to house will be perfect 🤙🏼😁👍🏼
Looks really NICE together. Loving the color scheme. Can't wait to see your shed to house and all what you're going to do inside. That gun metal stainless steel is so keen and clean looking. You're going to be very happy with your choice Jared. TC Peace
I love the carport colors. It's great your getting a shed to house.
All the progress that is happening on SDR is awesome.
So happy for you that you are going with the shed.. Didn't you mention before about getting a dishwasher? They make them half the size of a regular one.
Great plan. Like you said, you can always add additional bedroom later.
Sounds like a plan. I was hoping you would have an oven since you didn't have one in Tx. That washer/dryer will be awesome to have.
Good luck!! Can't wait to see what you do..
Hi dear how are you doing?
The plan for your home sounds great ! and the colors on your carport look so sharp, 🙂 Be safe and enjoyed seeing the furbabies
Hi 👋 dear how are you doing?
Jared love 💕 want you are doing it’s going look amazing 🤩 love 💗 the Colors love 💞 from Ohio ShootDang ShootDang ShootDang Ranch is looking amazing 🤩
Love the colors on the carport. The tiny house will be awesome.
Hi how are you doing?
Awesome I love the idea . The carport looks nice . Great job Jared
What you designed WOW 😲.. Your layout is perfect has everything that you need what more would you want Love the color scheme loved it when you guys did it on the shooting headquarters and I think in the woods that is really going to look phenomenal can't wait to see what comes next.
Jared, I was reading some of the comments and I agree with them, that,"Pocket Doors", are a good idea, of course in the inside 😉😀😄😊👍
Very pretty and sharp Jared! It really pops and stands out. I can't wait to see it finished. I would suggest a second door on your house though. X's &
Jared it looks fantastic and I can't wait to see the house in there!!✌❤✌❤✌
Jared, so happy for you. God bless everything you put your hand to. Much love from Sue and I.
I love the colors the 3 of you agreed on!! I also think you have made a good choice of housing! Love the layout!! 💜
That sounds really good. Can’t wait to see you build it. I think it will be the perfect size. Less to clean🙀
And less to heat and cool
I said it for a long time, Jared… “do your best and F*€k the rest!” I am pumped to see the build , and love the layout!! Carport is looking legit AF as well!!! Pumped for you Bubba
Dang Jared that car port looks really good man great job 👍👍👍👍👍
You could get a coffee table on wheels that will rise up to counter height . Maybe a couple of folding stools to sit on porch or bringing fot table.
Jared, most average bathrooms are 5'X8'. with tub at the end[5'] so you are bigger. But 5x8 is pretty standard, and you'd have a bit more Bed room. Think about putting a sliding door/s to save room in your bath.
When do you get it? I bet you can't wait!
Depending on the size of your bed you should have plenty of room for you in that bedroom, I'm excited for you Shootdang 🥰
An island with barstools would look great 👍🥰
You know 🤔 they do make small dishwashers that don't use a lot of water but clean very well, they are made for single people 😉😂🥰
Hi how are you doing?
The carport is WOW!!! Love the shed to house plan. Excited for you!
Hi dear how are you doing?
The car port is coming along nicely! Good layout plan for your shed to tiny house.
YOUR TINY HOME SOUNDS GREAT JARED CONGRATS. YOUR CARPORT LOOKS GREAT ALSO GREAT JOB
All coming together nicely ,the Shed to home sounds awesome ,you all work so hard for your dream ,the carport looks good love the colour choices 😀✌💙
Layout looks really good! Matching/coordinating color scheme is awesome! 👌 Can't wait for shed delivery day! So happy for you!!! ❤🙏
Haha oh I've got plans for the outside trust me it's gonna be pretty cool.
Love the layout of the house and carport. God bless you.
I think you made a good choice goin with another shed to house Jared...good luck with it all. :)
Suggestion Jared use pocket doors for the bathroom and bedroom as it will give you more room.
Looks great Jerad. Can't wait to see what you end up getting. Black stainless is an excellent choice. You will do it and it will look great. 🇨🇦
Water and plumbing on one side makes everything easier to layout. Great idea.
