Honestly, this feels more like a Venza than the current Venza, considering the old one used to be a mix of a wagon and SUV as well
because this is going to replace the Venza, the Venza is going to be discontinued after 2024
This is what the Venza should have been all along. This model is more like the original Venza ,
It looks exactly like the Honda Prologue and that Buick E-something…
I bought my 1st Venza in 2020 a 2009 and I love it, when I heard that they were bringing it back I was disappointed that they brought back some kicked up Rav 4 basically. The 2021-2024 Venza is a lot smaller than the 2009-2015 model, where anything past the front row seats felt like tight and small. I am 6'2 and with my 2009 I am able to sit far back and still go in the seat behind me and not have to adjust the drivers seat at all. To find out that this new Crown Insignia is basically the 2009-2015 Venza with Hybrid tech and still a bit bigger? I am sold. What sold me on the 2009-2015 Venza was that it was basically a larger Camry.
That's because the original Venza was essentially a Camry Wagon. The current Venza is a 4th generation Toyota Harrier. The first two generations of the Harrier were rebadged and sold in the US as Lexus RXs.
I love that they are bringing more “station wagons” back.
Me too, Rod!
Toyota should bring the Crown Sport SUV. A budget Porsche Macan with Toyota reliability would sell like hotcakes.
That's called a Lexus RX
No. Toyota drives and rides like 🗣️. I own a GTS macan. And looking at a cheap car to soak up miles on while keeping the macan miles down
It's Japan only
@commonsense8342 shut u fool
Toyota and Porsche is like McDonald’s and Ruth Chris.
Legitimately the exact vehicle I was hoping for before all electric infrastructure is settled - good fuel efficiency with awd, not huge but some cargo, and and a bit premium without being pretentious
Well said!
Fuel efficiency is considerably worse than the 2024 Venza. 21" wheels make for a very uncomfortable ride on American roads. The design of the rear is out of place with the front.
Really needs a total re-design.
This looks really nice. Much better than the sedan! 👏🏼
Funny how Toyota gives you a two year wait time and 20% markup due to "supply chain issues" and "limited production" but introduces a new model each week with a massive price increase with the same "limited resources" lol
This!!!!! Keep introducing new models knowing there’s going to be at least a year wait time and heavy markups 😂
Toyota and its dealers are stealing money from Toyota Sheeps
Yea, I really don't get it. You can't even supply current portfolio, yet you're constantly introducing new models. There will probably be a lot of waiting Venza deposits who will have to move to this new Crown Signia.
Well. If other brands don’t build craps and be more competitive, Toyota won’t do this. Car market is one of the most free markets after all.
@livefreeordiehard8898 as far as crappy cars are concerned not a single Toyota model is best at anything. They are believed to be reliable because they use obsolete old tech. They just re-skin their models every 10 years.
I had a Crown as a rental with only 6 miles on it and absolutely loved it. Comfortable and 650 miles of range. I put its first 1000 miles on it.
I almost bought a crown the other day, I’m glad I waited. This is so much better!
Nobody buys a Toyota for cuteness over reliability. The Sedan is just as great😢
Will you choose Signia XLE or Limited?
The poor Venza, makes an appearance every time just to be discontinued soon after, RIP x2
Great job Sofyan!
Toyota: on the Signia, please don't repeat the Venza mistake... sunroof has got to open!..... and struts for the hood, not prop rod.
Also, hopefully more interior color combos including a mostly light gray.
Sounds like some reasonable things they can add! Hopefully implemented before release
Poor Venza getting discontinued twice in the USA
Awesome to see an output of 240+ horsepower. Like a Venza and Highlander had a baby together.
It needs the Hybrid Max powertrain. Why would Toyota not offer this given the other Crown we get has it? I was ready to buy but I don't think I'm interested at this point.
@@jsfbay1be patient. It might be added later.
Ew, they're like brother and sister!
@@jsfbay1 I think it would kill the sales of the nx and even affect the rx500h f sport. Hell it is already currently looking more appealing than the nx350h.
How can two cars have children?🤔
I love the Venza it’s so nice they should at least keep it going till 2026
The Venza is gone after this model year or next.
I'm pissed that Toyota is getting rid of the Venza. You got luxury with the Venza, plus the best of the Rav4 & a Lexus. Plus, the Venza was moderately priced! The Crown will run you in price like a Lexus RX.
great review Sofyan
Way better looking than most SUVs. Nice proportions, beautiful interior.
Good review Sofyan.
Wonderful job Sofyan.
Not giving up on my 2022 Venza but will buy this for wife … Toyota is the way
Another beautiful Toyota! Coming to a dealership near you in early 2031😂
Solid video dude. Coverd everything we cared about without the long talks.
I was excited about Venza, then drove one. A tad smaller than what I wanted. Excited about the Signia so far. Thanks for the review!
Been waiting for this and the Camry ❤
Nice review. Not skipping more than 3 mins ads.
Hopefully Toyota will be able to fill orders this time around. It was difficult to get the Venza due to supply issues with models rarely on dealer lots and long delivery times. We waited three months for our 2022 Venza XLE and after we received ours from Japan we were told that the delivery time was 6 to 9 months and that was at a large Toyota dealer in LA.
I love this interior and I was thinking about getting the rav4 I might need to take a look at this until Toyota redesign the rav4 and give it more leg room
This looks way better than that new camry !!!❤❤❤
Love this look including exactly this color combo, inside and out! If this is really quiet and smooth, it negates the lower levels of both the Lexus NX and RX (depending on cost)! I'm salivating!
I would expect quiet with this drive train, but rough ride with 45 series tires..........Paul
I would be intrigued by this model with the Hybrid Max powertrain
i would get this over the sedan if it had that powertrain. probably why they didnt do it
I agree. This would be at the top of my list with the Hybrid Max engine.
Love that wagon!!! I grew up in a Toyota wagon back in the 80’s.
👏👏👏👏
Venza being discounted for the 2nd time now after a short run.
Yeah i dont get it. Did they not sell well?
@@venictosThey were nearly impossible to get with the supply shortages. There were usually plenty of RAV4’s on lots but with few Venza’s available and with very long wait times.
@Lasuvidaboy-jp4xe thanks for the clarification. My wife and i also were in the market for an SUV, and we went with a new highlander xle for 42K, whereas a venza was only maybe 1K less. Didn't make sense to go with a smaller suv.
This reminds me of the old venza
Wait, so why bring the Venza back just to discontinue the model AGAIN in 2024? I’m lost here…
I don't see why they couldn't just call this a Venza and continue the nameplate. It being a Crown means it will certainly cost even more. So I don't know that it would sell well since it's a new nameplate.
So were we! Shame the second gen Venza had such a short life!
@@banstaman Because Venza(Harrier in Japan) is still being produced. Second, this Crown Signia is called Crown Estate in Japan and elsewhere. So you can't just simply call it Venza.
It seems like the Venza price point doesn’t sit well. We looked at the Venza Limited but for only a few k more we bought the Lexus NX hybrid instead.
@jml9550 they will have some problems pricing this. Has yo stay under 50k as the Venza tops out at 46 It's a wagon which is less desirable than the crossover style of the Venza. It's missing some features and options Venza has. The Venza interior has better materials and more advanced switchgear.
Really nice vehicle. Good proportions and lines. I had a loaded Subaru outback as a loaner and loved it but would prefer this as it’s much cleaner and sportier.
The Subie most likely rides better and has more ground clearance and more head room.....Paul
Gorgeous vehicle. Wish the MPG was higher though. A Prime model would be great to have in this
9:05 The Crown Sport! That's a sign!
I love the looks of this vehicle. Finally a stylish 2 row, hybrid SUV. I'm not crazy about the storm cloud paint colour - I prefer the Oxygen White which look absolutely stunning. The powertrain is exactly the same as the Toyota Hylander Hybrid with 243 hp. Thanks for all the details.
I would LOVE and consider buying a Prime version!
Hi Sofyan. Great review. You mentioned it has more space than rav4. Is that comparable with honda crv space?
Love the old venza v6
Love this thing!!!
I love to see America is finally going back to its original SUV the station wagon…🎉🎉🎉 I mean the SUV…
Didn't think they would kill off the Venza again... damn shame
Looks so much better than the ugly sedan. With that said I hope that the prop stick wont make it in the production version and at one point they will offer the Hybrid Max in it as well which is so much more fun to drive. Sorry to see Venza nameplate go, but one thing about Toyota is that they are not afraid to try new things. Kudos!
Beautiful model! I feel like this model made more sense for the US market than the CROWN. Especially, since they are moving forward with the Camry. The rear taillights look like a mix of Mercedes GLE and Jaguar F-Pace
Venza has been discontinued again?
In the US but not sure about in Japan where the Harrier is built.
Very surprised that the steering wheel is manual in that Limited trim, even my LE Venza had automatic steering wheel adjustments. Also, I’m going to miss the “fast back” style of the Venza
I really like my Venza which was extremely close to meeting all my needs. And it gets better gas mileage than the Crown Signia is projected to get. If I wanted a larger Toyota SUV there were already choices. So why take the Venza out of the US lineup when its production will continue Asia?
amazing that one can live long enough for a name to re appear: I was there in '70 when they started to sell the crown. and now its back.
In Japan, this is known as the Crown Estate.
I’m getting one. Period.
Let me guess, will be $60k with a 2 year wait
Maybe 45K tops.
dealer_markup.mpg
Not really. More like $45-50k and reasonable wait. The COVID-19 supply chain bottlenecks have been resolved long time ago, interest rates at 8% will curb the demand and dealer's inventory is back to normal, so buyers time.
@@TrifonAnguelovPhotography Toyota dealer said 2 year wait for both Prius and rav4 hybrids so no it's not resolved at all
@@ballathug8404 get on cargurus. You will find many cars under msrp there that even make shipping a car reasonable. 🚗
This looks to appear to become the wagon/suv version of the Venza to the Crown Signia, but the looks are great I guess from what I know so far.
I love it! My next car :)
I like it 👍🏽
When will it become available for purchase?
Would look so nice in silver with red leather seats, tinted windows
Agreed!
This is what the venza should be in my opinion this should be called the venza signia. The venza nameplate shouldn't go away simply because it didn't sell that well in it's current form. Toyota should have stayed with the same formula as the first generation venza I wonder who makes these decision's but I applaud Toyota for making these cool modern designs it will sell quite well.
I like that Toyota finally decides to consolidate all the higher end Toyota under the Crown badge worldwide.
How you know it will sell well. That thing will cost more than rav4.
Toyota couldn’t fill orders for the Venza due to supply issues. We bought a ‘22 Venza and love it. We waited 3-months for delivery. A friend wanted to buy one and when she went to the dealer, the wait time was anywhere from 6 to 9 months. Hopefully Toyota won’t have the same supply issues with the Crown.
Venza means toilet seat in Japanese
I have the Crown Signia. Great auto.
The latest Sienna debut in 2021 with hybrid only power train. Toyota went and made all different variants from the Sienna which also gets 35-36mpgs.
Reminds me totally of the Outback!!
This is exactly the one I want, the Limited w/this color. Except, I want black seats.
More like the old Venza. I love it.
Agreed.
I'd get this over the new LC
Is it any higher off the ground than a Crown sedan? Hard to tell what the ground clearance is.
Looks great I might put on my list to replace my 2018 Mazda 6 in the next 1-2 years.
Is this based on the highlander/camry platform?
Jesus another crossover, the states have way to many of these
What is the height available for loading through the rear hatch?
I really wish they would’ve brought over the Crown Sport because that would be on the top of my list!
If everyone is right and the Sport model is for Japan only.. I'm buying Mazda CX-70 Inline6 Hybrid! ..eff-them!
@@lornestein7248 maybe if we yell enough Toyota will hear!
What a sad world we live in where there's no more V6, V8, V10, and V12's. We've come to an end here.
That's why I'm gonna wait for Mazda CX-70 Inline6 Turbo-S 340HP. Might be your best bang for your buck if you still want real power.
You can thank the EPA's draconian CAFE Standards for the gradual disappearance of these engines.
Would have liked to see the high output power train option
Toyota needs to squeeze every mpg possible from their cars to leave CAFE space for all the 4X4s they are bringing to market.
That’s alot new models for Toyota. N Lexus too. I love it. They doing alot.
The Crown Signia Limited comes standard with heated and ventilated leather seats and leather door trim, not *softex* as you keep mentioning.
Who cares they obviously could change the materials by the time it releases....
Does it have a power adjustable steering column?
ground clearance on the Signia?
That panoramic roof is really an oversight, the crossbar isn't even in the middle.. Makes you think it opens!
Toyota should have introduced this car in RED, looks much better in red, thiis grey and blue are lackluster to me. Great review!
I like it.
The front end gives off MK3 Supra vibes… Toyota heritage
I would lobe this suv but not in hybrid or electric. Will they have this option
Everything is a shock according to this man lol
Can't believe that Toyota didn't bring us the real Crown Sedan and the Sport here. And now they discontinue the Venza? What is Toyota thinking?
Maybe as a Lexus vertsoon
But will it crash well in the IIHS testing?
Gorgeous. It would be great if it ended up as a plug-in.
Eventually...
Nah
Divorced headlight modules. That gave me a chuckle.
Actually looks way nicer than the Venza. Not a huge fan of the station wagon look, yet I still prefer this over the Venza look surprisingly
If this design were on one of the Lexus models, it would become the best-selling model in Lexus history
I’m so glad I got my 2021 Venza Limited. At least my second generation, Venza offer, special touches like a power steering wheel and the stare gaze roof unlike this model and it has LED door seals unlike this model. And no heads of display? That’s a huge bummer.😢
I’ll keep my 2021 Venza limited.
We have a 2022 XLE and love it. Toyota had serious delivery issues with the Venza and they were rarely available on dealer lots here in LA. A friend wanted one after driving in ours and was told the wait time for a ‘22 XLE or Limited was 6-9 months. She went to Genesis and bought an SUV right off the dealer lot the same day. Hopefully Toyota will be able to deliver the Crown to dealers.
This 2025 Toyota Crown Signia has a stunning, classy design, both outside and inside. I hope they keep all the features they show in this pre-production model.
YET, I was strongly disappointed it did NOT have the following features:
1) HEADS-UP DISPLAY:
Yes, this feature may cost a bit more, but it is expected for a car in this category! For me, this would be a deal breaker.
2) LUMBAR SUPPORT PASSENGER SEAT,
Why is Toyota penny-pinching here? It's about time to give the passenger the same comfort as the driver in a car like this. The driver is often younger than the passenger (long drives). How much could adding lumbar support to the passenger seat cost?
The following two are features the 2024 Honda CR-V has. Ouch!!
3) BACK-PASSENGER DOORS that fully open,
4) BACK SETS THAT RECLINE
Final comment:
Car prices have increased considerably, much more than the cost of living. The shortage during COVID-19 increased prices, and since prices have not decreased, the supply chain issue has been resolved to a great extent.
I sincerely hope Toyota will pay attention to these simple changes and bring to market a first-class winner!
Beautiful vehicle! My only concerns are for the price point of 55k + no heads up display.. possibly no powered side mirrors or power telescoping steering wheel…. Jmo
I Love it! Put a Turbo in it and I will buy it. Not kidding.
9:02: Whoops! Instead of the Signia Estate, the JDM Sport is shown in the digital display. I'm sure that'll be fixed in the final product.
The next RAV4 platform
This is what the size/shape of second generation Venza should have been! Sad to see a name die out due to poorly aligned architecture with a platform mate in a cheaper segment.
I’m currently leasing a 23 RAV4 and I’m 6’5 the space is barely accommodating but I’m getting by. I was thinking of buying this car once the lease is over but I’m afraid I won’t fit. Maybe I should just wait for the Land Cruiser.
How tall are you? Trying to figure out how tall this car is. Internet says 68 inches some say 64
I love this - I genuinely like a planted wagon shape. I do wish this had more ground clearance like a Subaru Outback though plus I’m a sucker for fog lights. The interior is much better looking than the weird Venza interior (and nicer than Outback aesthetic). Built in Japan is a bonus too!!!!
Illuminating only the bottom half of the “hammerhead” lobster claw headlights is the way to go. This one looks better than the Prius, Crown Sport, and new Camry
However, that spindle mesh grill is an eyesore imo. It would look fine as a metallic grill, but as painted body paneling it’s bizarre
Crown sport looks miles better. Like a mini Purosangue.
Disagree.. Crown Sport kills this boring, blah.. wagon.
this is basically a hybrid version of the 1st gen Venza which was also a station wagon
Exactly!
First toyota looking good
