I FINALLY GOT IT. Ok, at 8:32, Adam starts talking about the 3 types of content: Attraction, Nuture, and Promo. In the context of a business, this is the beginning stages of the customer journey. Attract is about just introducing yourself. This is the stuff that is supposed to go viral. Nuture is where you start having that conversation and showing your interests/hobbies. This is where you let them know you are human. Promotion is the next step. Once people trust you, send them to where they can support you (spotify, website, etc.) For some reason it took me so long to figure this out, but it finally clicked. Hope this helps!

Tic toc and short for attracting, Facebook for announcements, dates, and videos for singles, and Instagram for cool pics and some behind the scenes stuff to be more relatable as people. The content on all being brief and censored so you can put the full length and uncensored stuff on patreon. And everything has links to your website, but more importantly, your merch shop.

I love your thought on this, we talk about similar but more focused on DJs and Dance Music producers and it's interesting to hear someone say essentially what you've been preaching but slightly differently, I really like your system analogy. I''ve been telling our electronic music DJs to think about making content similar to those that start on a gym routine, you start rubbish and get better and you build processes to allow you to get better and by building the reps of doing it - makes it easier. I'm also so big on time management and you can achieve much more than you think by monitoring your time. Big up once again for a great video, I hope we get to chat in person at some point down the road...

What great universe timing! I gave up on music because I couldn’t be consistent enough. Every time I tried to take music seriously I would immediately burn out. Eventually, I had to be content with music being a hobby. Flash forward to now and I find out I have adhd. 😅 I’ve been using systems to help compensate for my lack of executive function.

Our drummer insists on running all the social media for our band, he made accounts with our band name and logo, only he has the credentials... but he isn't researching any of this shit and our pages aren’t growing. He re-used his old band FB page with 1k followers, i dont know how long the page sat but none of those people engage with anything posted on that page now and it hasnt grown in a year.
