- In this video, I show you how to park a car safely in a parking lot. There are many aspects to parking a car safely, and I outline the most important ones. I show you how to reverse park and forward park a car, and talk about the various things that you should do to ensure that you are doing it safely. Please remember that safety must come first whenever you are driving, so please ensure that you are being as safe as possible whenever you are parking a car.

I took my driver's license roughly 10 years ago. I barely drove since then and now I am in a spot that I have to restart. I just want to say thank you for this info. It made sense in a practical way. You sir have my respect.
I came back after trying to practice this. I used 2 bottles :/ I crushed one of them on the first try. I can't say I am getting better at this with the first try.

@@allusative1609 yeap! Thank you for asking. It literally takes a lot of repeat. Having someone with you with patience is a plus. But its literally about repeating this process. Also having a camera made a ton of difference in my case. I love how our car has a camera for parking.

I've been driving more and my parking has gotten better including my driving. I have really bad driving anxiety, but I'm pushing myself to drive....
Started back driving in December and I tell you I didnt realize how much my anxiety had spilled over into my driving and now my parking. However, I too keep driving. I even at someone's suggestion keep a driving journal or tracker as I call it also. I keep note of how I feel and how I do and it has helped. I am getting more comfortable driving although nervousness kicks in here and there. The issue moreso now is the parking. I parked the other day in a parking lot of a store and did well doing so but when it came time to reverse out when I was leaving I was so nervous. I waited until people got in their cars lol but I did it. I backed out the spot and even had to beep at a guy who had just stepped out of his car after I had already pulled out and was turning. He was coming towards me not looking. Like dude pay attention. But I had him. I was watching. I pray we get over these fears and become more confident. Don't give up!!!!!
I don't even have anxiety. I just dread driving every time before I start driving. When I'm driving, I feel fine, but I still absolutely dread driving every time before I start. I don't know why.
My driving anxiety was so bad in the beginning to where it caused me to lose weight because I had no appetite. I have have anxiety but it's a lot better then before..I still get the fear of driving, but whenever I get into the car I'm fine. The only thing I need to work on better is my turns whenever I'm making sharp turns I need to slow down a lot more. I hate parking into parking spots myself that's why whenever I had the option to park in a garage at work or the parking lot I picked the parking lot so I don't have to be close to cars lol. I don't wanna hit anyone's car. I got this!
@@KaylaHuggins88 Im glad things are much better for you. I have been working on my turns too. Sometimes I get it smooth and sometimes too fast. But practice helps us to build these skills and confidence. I park a lot of the times away from cars or towards the end with less cars. Yes you got this!!!!! One day at a time!!!!!!

I think my prob is that the roads are so small and people literally park left and right... And whenever i see someone waiting for me at the back, i immediately panic and just go ahead, searching for another parking that's not stuck between 2 cars
the reason why I'm here is because my dad doesn't know how to break down how to park. All he tells me is to start turning at the right moment like when is the "right moment"

What a great tip to line your shoulder up with the center of the car next to the spot you want to park in! I've been driving for awhile now but I watch your videos to pick up on tips and tricks I can use to improve my driving. Thanks for the vids!

I really appreciate this. I like the basic tools. Like lining your shoulder up with the center of the parking spots. This is better that all the instruction I have ever had which overly complicates the process and causes fear

My aunt was trynna teach me how to drive her car & when I got in the front seat for the first time I already knew what to do, it been 3 days & im already driving her car she trust me w it & I will do my best not to wreck it. I watched another video of yours where you explained reverse parking with an SUV. In that video you picked a parking spot and centred your shoulder against it and then drove into a 45 degree angle while in this video, you centred your shoulder with a parking 2 spots over to reverse. Can you expand on why it differed between the 2 videos. Was it because of the empty parking lot vs this one which had more vehicles parked?
