We should not be involved in this stupid war, we should get the heck out of there before all hell breaks loose. We have so many bases around the world, so many enemies that it would be easy for Russia to provide them with destructive weapons that could kill a lot of our soldiers all around the world. We do not need that kind of threat, but we’re close to that happening. The Russians can easily say that they’re helping these people defend themselves and their countries. Correct. Crimea's been ethnic Russian for three centuries -- there's a statue of Catherine the Great in Sevastopol -- and over 90% TWICE voted for joining the Russian Federation. As with the eastern oblasts, the locals overwhelmingly support Russia and many are fighting for them.
replying to that post about the status of Crimea; that post is laughable. Ukraine all along the front has used residential areas to accumulate and house their forces, making it impossible for their opponent to confront them without leveling total devastation to neighborhoods. Further, calling the people who reside in Crimea "occupiers" should infuriate any observers. The number of people who have immigrated to Crimea since 2022 is negligible, many who didnt want to live in Russia have left, and the ones who were there in 2014, and have remained, were part of a referendum in which the majority of voters chose to become part of Russia. Before you go off on me with the "unfair and rigged election" bit, i would say in reply, "maybe so, but its a hell of a lot better than no voting at all which is precisely what Ukraines current president offered his citizens when his legal term expired." The Ukraine war will turn really nasty if Ukraine goes on like that. The rules of war can not be thrown out if you are the defender - they are supposed to be adhered by BOTH. Ukraine tries to justify a lot of bad behavior saying that "well, the russians started it, so we are not bound by the rules of war" - why would Russia then not start rounding up Ukraine civilians and eliminate them? The rules are there to protect civilians and it is generally the party lower on the power side that has a higher incentive to commit atrocities. I.e. the Sevastopol attack on the beach. What is Russia says: "Every attack where citizens die. a tactical nuke takes out a city. Here is the list for next week."- Horrific, but unless Ukraine adheres to the rules of war - there is no moral high ground. And with how bad relations between the west and Russia are - Russia may not care about the moral outrage. And no, WW3 would not follow - preannounced it would not trigger a nuclear war. Really, Ukraine shows a lot of hitlerian attitude here - Orcs, Untermenschen. And as you so nicely say - Crimea has a lot of civilians that predate the whole thing - but then there was a lot of civilian shelling for years that is so nicely forgotten. This will end with a nuke somewhere. The west will not stop poking. Whether this goes up in Lviv, between Lviv and the polish border or - with announcement - on the Rzeszow staging ground for western weapons (with announcements) is... I bet for the region between Lviv and Poland. The west will not stop poking.
True, but the Ukrainians are already playing 'dirty' with the US/west's help, and western (propaganda) media will cover for them every time they do it while accusing Russia of worse.
Shelling of civilians can happen when there is a separatism. Do you think Poutine would hesitate shelling civilians if the Ukrainians of Belgorod or Rostov decided to break away from Russia?
old soviet buildings are very very strong built , some of them have a 1,5 meter thick walls (reinforced concrete with small full bricks ) almost impossible to destroy... thats the FAB 3000 for ....
I've been to Crimea numerous times. Even back in the Ukrainian days it was heavily pro-Russian, with a lot of people having worked before in Soviet military installations. After the fall of the USSR they actually had an autonomy, but the Ukrainian state put paid to that real quick - Crimea is a very very lucrative tourist zone, not to mention a land of prime real estate. The problem is - unless something drastic happens, and I mean drastic, Moscow will never agree to NATO bases in Crimea. That would block off the Azov sea, would cut off Russia from most of the Black sea, and therefore limit its sea presence in the Mediterranean, therefore in or around Europe and the Middle East. And that's the game - whoever controls the peninsula, controls the Black Sea, the only warm sea within Russia's reach. Even when Crimea was Ukrainian, Russia still had ships in Sevastopol in exchange for basically free gas. This agreement was a formality, I guess. Everybody knew that Russia won't just leave, up to and including using, I guess, nuclear weapons if needed. It's just that vital. I don't see retaking of Crimea as a realistic scenario. If there was a total collapse of government in Moscow, then maybe. But as it is, the best Ukraine can hope for is a reverse to 2016 borders (which is not on the table at this moment), maybe not even that. Not to mention the problem of, ahem, "occupying civilians". Ethnic cleansing galore.
It would seem that all of Russia's neighbours don't want Russia to dominate the high ground. There's a problem here not solved by doing what Russia wants. This is a crowded part of the world with conflicting agendas.
This was always about the Black Sea. The UK Defence website declared UK intent to gain a controlling position in the Black Sea was published at least from early 2022.

And NATO could end the conflict tomorrow by honouring at least part of their 1991 promise not to expand further to the East and confirm tan Ukraine will never join NATO and Ukraine's future Neutrality guarantee will also be assured by both USA with Russia....
a) no such promise was ever made to Russia as the Warsaw pact run from Kremlin made the very thought a further expansion ludicrous. b) Putin does not consider NATO a threat to Russia, as seen by the emptied borders even after Finland joined. c) Ukraine could impossibly join NATO after 2014, as applicant countries can not have disputed territories. The only way for Ukraine to join would have been either Russia pulling out of Donbas and Crimea or Ukraine disavowing them. d) Russian assurances are not worth the time reading them. NATO is doing this so they can actively participate in the war in every aspect, including actual trigger puller or button presser under the guise of "contracted assets" , while forcing Russia to process NATO countries legally as non-combatants, and craft their policies accordingly. So far it is working splendidly for NATO. There is a psychological phenomenon known as "mass formation" where the individuals within a population lose ability for rational decision and fall into fatal group think. It happens in nature with all sorts of species, and is often induced in our species for nefarious purpose by those who have weaponized the principle. That's where we are with this war, imo. And either the mass formation is broken, or its WW3 since the escalation ladder will soon run out of rungs. The better solution is for the masses to demand respect for people's right to self determination as enshrined in the UN charter, and then engage in mutually beneficial trade. jmo of course.
Imo it's the threat to the early warning systems that makes Russia nervous. I don't think they care much about ordinary ground assaults in Belgorod region.
Willy, the legend, Ruskies did not occupied Crimea because they live there. There was no invasion from Russia there and it was impossible anyway because the bridge did not exist at that time. There is no evidence that troops were dropped by see or air desant either. In addition, Crimea was successfully occupied in the past, most recently in 1941 by Wehrmacht. So called Ukraine can not do it itself, but NATO definitively can. However, it would mean nuclear response by Ruskies. Why is nobody acknowledging that Crimea was Russian until 1964. Of course there are a lot of russian Ukrainians. To call them civilian occupiers is just plane wrong. Most of them were born in Crimea and their parents were born there as well. Russians lived in Crimea since it was conquered by them in 1783. I think it's not really a surprise that Russian speaking Ukrainians are living on the peninsula. The tweet from this Ukrainian politician says more about him and how he sees the world then about the "civilian occupiers" how he calls them. And you can't be for the genocide that Israel is committing against the Palestinians and then cry when a stray bomb hits the wrong target in your own country. Again we do not need this so we better stop and negotiate an end to all of this. Our government job is to guard for our security, our health and wellbeing and not to create security threats for our country.

Correct. Crimea's been ethnic Russian for three centuries -- there's a statue of Catherine the Great in Sevastopol -- and over 90% TWICE voted for joining the Russian Federation. As with the eastern oblasts, the locals overwhelmingly support Russia and many are fighting for them.
"for three centuries" WTF?
The Crimean War 1854 was against RUSSIA.
replying to that post about the status of Crimea; that post is laughable.

Why do you think the Zionists want to get there hands on it?

b) Putin does not consider NATO a threat to Russia, as seen by the emptied borders even after Finland joined.
c) Ukraine could impossibly join NATO after 2014, as applicant countries can not have disputed territories.

@@bobmorane2082 let me correct you... its been owned 95% the time in the last 500 years by Russia... some Western balkanizers came over and tried to colonize it during the crimean war... they had it for an itsy bitsy bit... and then when the USSR fell apart the transition committee of Comintern GAVE it to Ukraine... to act as a buffer zone between Russia and Nato... I mean I know that logic is acceptable for Israel to genocide and ethnic cleanse but nobody buys that shit outside of looney yahweh land... go wiki, dont just listen to a talking point on from your favorite pundit and repeat it - its OBJECTIVELY not true or relevant.
Maybe look into other pundits - your guys cant google/wiki worth a damn it seems.
@@kren4449 we did - twice... both times over 90% for joining Russia... when they tried to enforce it - Maidan happened...
@@zszempty I know, all that but the west continues to claim it's Ukranian and will do so. If there was some neutral third party that could perform such a referendum and enforce its results it couldn't do so any more. Personally I think it is Russian and the people there would rather be in Russia. I hope you see this reply before it's deleted, because most of my replies here keep getting deleted.
Crimeans don’t want to be Ukrainian and didn’t since 1990. How does Ukraine propose to deal with that in the incredibly unlikely event that the manage to retake Crimea?
Which Crimeans.
When.
How do you know.
More click bait garbage
All the squealing over the Crimea needs to stop it's part of Russia now. Over 86 percent of the civilians living there voted to rejoin Russia so the matter is settled.
Squealing is it now.
Russia is steadily going downhill.
Sure it has capacity.
But even Russia can hit rock bottom
I love how Willy doesn't lose his humanity when analyzing wars! No double standards, just a human thinking logical way! Thank you
Try thinking of him as Wilhelm,,,, it adds persective!
Yeah , he doesn't choose a side .
He also never loses his pro Ukrainian tendencies
ah the legend remakes the war and invents scenarios to see the Ukrainians win the war have nothing to do with vietnamo or Iraq
It has nothing to do with Iraq or Vietnam.
America hasn't attacked Ukraine and is not occupying it
First Mofos. Thanks willy great video legend 😊
Legend.
Willy, If you do your Intell Agency vid, please do not neglect the CIA and their Ukrainian operation in 2014
That would be balanced though ? .................
The desperation of the Brits in the pass and now the US trying to invade Crimeia/Sevastopol
I don't know how much of this is true, so check it out for yourself. During the trial of Japan after World War II, the United States announced accusations that the Japanese Navy did not pick up American sailors from sinking ships. The counter argument of the Japanese side was the fact that the United States acted the same way towards Japanese sailors. And these accusations had to be dropped. Exactly the same thing is happening in Ukraine. Both sides blame each other for what they did themselves. It can only differ in scope. And I wonder if it will matter to the international court of justice (it is not a fact that it will be, but) if both sides are equally criminals from the point of view of the law?
Thanks as always Willy, take care mate
Enjoying this daily. Especially for the effort of being impartial with sources and comments despite the pro Ukrainian inclination. Keep up de good work.

How much is ukraine paying you? And in dollars or euros?
Realists, and real people not bots. The propaganda is failing and more people are opposing Washington's proxy war.

Previous FAB-300 were aiming at the underground bunkers which are commonly installed in vicinity of public schools. Every Soviet school had a reinforced underground shelter, not necessary in basement- these usually quite complex and large-= that was commonly known for civil defence in case of nuclear strike. All FAB-3000 targets are schools
The outcome is inevitable; the only thing we can change is timeline and death toll
Ukraine deserves support to defend themselves.
Deny says that he is from Crimea. I guess he won’t be going home anytime soon.
Denys is not from Crimea!
Crimea is a non discussion topic mate.
The frontline is miles away from Crimes but Ukr missiles seem to hit towns and populated areas on the other side of the bloody country more then the front line. Strange US UK intel or intentional to piss the FDR some more?
The copium from ukie/nato lovers is hilarious 😂
Your hypocrisy is indicative of poor research, the absence of an enquiring mind and a penchant for cruelty
