SOLAR Records had a tremendous roster of acts in the late 70s - early 80s: Lakeside, the Whispers, the Sylvers, Klymaxx, Shalamar, the Deele, Dynasty, and of course...Midnight Star. A really strong period of great music back then...
Absolutely great music from a great era of R&B music! Why have we gotten so lazy with our music today? Young people of today are not hearing good, creative music.
MIDNIGHT STAR were a quality RNB funk group. Awesome tunes. Love this and especially ENGINE NO.9 my gosh wheres my ghetto blaster its time to bust some old school.

They did not have any bad songs... They had a very distinct sound all their own. Good Vibes music from the 80's is the best, and this band is very underrated IMO. Still pullout my vinyl Midnight Star Records and play their music... another great act from SOLAR records.
I remember back in the days i used to be anxious for it to be saturday morning almost noon... It was my favorite part of the week !!! Hell yeah !!! It was a thrilled to see the new moves !! And to watch all of them great artist perform on the Soouuuuuuuullll Traiiiiinnnn.....
