A sample of the North Run

Join me as your guide to some of the things we see & learn while out on the North Run along tracks owned by Revolution Rail Company. They generally operate from early May until about late October, this is the OG Run of the company, but they have since added 3 more throughout the ADKs & have locations in other parts of the country as well. For this run, you start at the North Creek rail station to check in & get on a shuttle bus to the railbikes. From there, your pedaling adventure begins with your fabulous guides. There are plenty of opportunities for photos & your guides will take some of you with your own phone. Tips to your guides are always appreciated!
Forgive part of my clothing in the frame as I hold on tight to my camera while crossing the bridge (as should you since there is no getting it back if it falls in the river). Near the end, I leave you with a quick view of the Boreas river at the turnaround spot & a little close up of one of the woodland waterfalls we pass along the tracks. Yes, the track was built from Saratoga to North Creek originally in the 1870s & then the line extended up from North Creek to the mines of Tahawas during WW2. This particular part of the tracks is North of North Creek
