I give you a ton of credit man. I always try to have the motivation of deep cleaning each part, but always get way overwhelmed with how much there is so I don't clean nearly as good as you.
I haven't watched this series because I'm not really into Evo X's, but after this video, I think I should still watch. I love watching your choices in restoration projects! Please do a Starion or 1G restoration soon!
very impressive content, I currently own a 14 X MR and I will be following the build. I admire your courage in pulling an EVO drivetrain at your home's garage without a lift. I have done it once on a V8 motor and never looked back...
I have the same SST cooler on mine gets rid of the gearbox overheating permanently when driving it hard on track. One of the best kits out there from SSP 👍🏻
Awesome video . I have been watching it and do have a question . I’m in the process of removing my engine as well , but where do you connect the links onto the engine to remove it with the hoist ?
I think I read a long time ago that Volvo has a fluid that is identical to the mitsubishi fluid for the sst. Guys were buying it instead because of the cost savings, of course.

I can’t wait till it’s done!! 🥰🥰
Thank you for all your help!!! Without you this video wouldn't have been possible!
Could you please tell me where was your mounting points to put on the engine hoist connection to lower engine ?
7:54 Seems like every project has that one bolt. I literally have one mounted on my garage wall that reminds me to take it slow and steady.
LMAOOO I have one like that too!! hahaha
How did it get the engine from under the vehicle ? Going to be taking mine out on my 2010 MR and everything is going to be done in the garage as well…
That’s an SSP trans Cooler!! That’s a score!!

My transmission cracked at the mount and now I don’t know if it can be welded or I need to replace it
The SST is known for running hot on track days!

Awesome video! How many hours did it take you in total to remove the engine (not counting that rusted out bolt lmao)?
