I am replacing my Singer 1411 after more than 40 years. Thank you for this review to help me decide what to replace it with!! This looks like it does the same as the Singer, but with some updated and welcomed tweaks!
You will probably find it quite an adjustment after having a reliable old Singer. If you can, try one before buying. I was very disappointed with mine, but I was used to old-style quality, not plastic. Good luck to you.
Thank you for this video. Apparently, there is a problem with their instructional DVD, it won't play and I noticed quite a few people have the same problem. I bought this for my wife it will replace her 1940 model White sewing machine. It still works great but the attachments are missing. Your video is very helpful. Would you consider a more detailed video? Great job and you made us smile a few times.
Brilliant love the closeup on the auto thread - id looked at several others and there was no closeup and they did it way too fast to see what i needed to do - so thankyou youve saved me a lot if frustration 👍🥰
I enjoyed your review but I was very disappointed in this machine. Maybe my eyes are going, but I find this dinky little light the absolute worst among my five machines. Supplemental lighting in the work area is a must. Although the others plow through denim and multi-layers with ease, this one made sewing Christmas toys last year a nightmare. It could not handle a single layer of cotton fabric and one layer of low-loft 100% cotton batting. Spent more time re-threading it and picking out thread clots than sewing. Finally gave up and switched to my old Reliable White machine, which will be 65 this year.

How large of thread will this machine accommodate? 105? 138?
We used common "heavy-duty" sewing thread in it when we had it with no problems. Anything heavier I'd contact the manufacturer for the real advice.

Where is the pressure foot tension adjustment on this model?
Its a dial on to of the machine directly above the presser foot.
