The largest speckled trout I've caught was around 18 inches. Nothing super crazy. I know people who are in the 20 inch club. In the salt water, I caught a 43 inch Striped bass one time. I was only 13-14 years old! That was a fight.

Where were you? Not exact location, but general area. Will be visiting family on South Shore this fall, and want to fish when I am there.

This was on the Eastern Shore. These sea trout won't be running in the fall. Your best best is to target mackerel on government wharfs.
