speculass is the name cookies usually for cristmas at manado (manado) ..you knew that manadonesse there are many descendants of the netherlands ....me too my grand grand father was netherlanders , im so proud about that

Sbg warga Mdo, sy pastikan bhw ada puluhan spot wisata di sekitar Mdo spt pantai, gunung, sungai, danau, bawah laut, pulau. Gak perlu pergi terlalu jauh dr pusat kota.

Sulawesi beaches is more beautiful THAN Bali in my opinion..and so many so many untouched by local OR central goverment in tourism..and they have ALL like Bali beaches mountains lake hill etc..and even more unique cz some lagoon just smiliar like palawan coron in filiphine..and Manado just little part of Sulawesi meanwhile there is six part west south east central north and south east Sulawesi..enjoy Susan tO explore Manado and Sulawesi island..

I live in tomohon..You can go to tara tara to see the process of making palm sugar, captikus. local alcoholic drink. then to Puncak Lokon it's free...and Mahawu Peak is paid entrance for the treatment...the linau lake...and the hot sulfur baths in Lahendong..and culiner food at Heng Mien tinoor

@@gypsyinsneakers Fun fact, North Sulawesi especially Tomohon's culture is heavily influenced by the Dutch culture. No wonder why you can kinda taste similar flavor with food from your home. Kue Cucur is one of them because sometimes we like to put cinnamon in it. Our traditional dialects/languages have some Dutch-derived words in them. You might even find elders who actually speak in Dutch. My late great grandma spoke Dutch fluently.
More fun fact, you mentioned that spiced cookie, the Speculaas?
We have that cookie too in Tomohon. We call it Spekulas, with 'k'. Some elders even like to make it from scratch. 😆
