Out of all the classic 60s Ferraris, 250s and especially the 330s, the 2+2 are almost affordable, compared to their 2 seater GT brothers. Look for a 250 GTE and compare it to a SWB or a TDF. Still gorgeous, still Italian, more or less same engine, more comfortable and usable but "only" in the mid 200.000s over here in Europe. Again, not cheap but you won't need to sell your first borne, the house and a kidney to afford one.

Think of what it could be back in 66 compared to what was on the road. I mean, by this time the average car in Europe was barely a 30 to 50 hp car, even less sometimes. Coming from 4 cylinders 1100 or 1500 cc engines. In France, many cars were Citroen 2 CV or Ami 6 with some hellish torque of 40 Nm spited from a 600 cc 2 cylinders. Top speeds were roughly around 120 kph, 140-150 for the best normal cars. And this is so much above, sounded so spectacular, like a race car, by then, it was insane. Certainly more than a modern Ferrari compared to modern cars when a hot hatch output can be as high as 400 hp. And I'm an absolute lover of 812 Superfast which engine is probably one of the best piece of mechanic ever made.

Even as a kid in the 70’s when everybody else was yelling 250 GTO, 330 P etc. At least dreams are free, I used to dream about pulling up to school in nice cars, as I jumped off the yellow and black express lol😂. At 16 in 82’ I did manage to nab a 77’KZ1000 with a Kerker on it, performance to match most any car on the road at that time. Although the penalty for a failure or crash or otherwise poor judgment is much higher.

Excellent video. Well tuned engine and a presenter who knows how to drive it and change gear. Also a Ferrari that oozes effortless cool with discreet styling and a glorious exhaust and intake sound at a time when Ferrari builders were artisans, were not paid a lot since labout costs in the 60s were cheap, and when the cars in my opinion had a lot more heart and soul, and were purely Italian designed and engineered for good or bad.

I like these kinds of cars that aren’t meticulously restored but still run well and have been maintained mechanically. So much more character to them

A beautiful review that brought a tear to my eye. 😥
I have a 1967 330gt that my father bought the year I was born. Ferrari dealers love it, but the Ferrari community in general turn their noses up at it as it is not as stylish and glamorous as a 250, 275 or a few others.
I just potter around in it here in Monaco as an alternative to my modern California.
I know it's unloved, but I will never part with it 😥👉
