@Mohoboson241 - Just bought the SK5 Natchez bowie at their parking lot sale today for $190 (regular special projects price is $240) with the secure ex sheath. The San Mai was still $300 with the leather sheath. I love the knife! (to the poster, the Natchez is 11.75", not 11.5")
The M-tech brand makes a very affordable copy of the Trial master I payed $45 but I have seen them for as little as $20, so far it has held up well to general bush craft use, i'm sure the blade doesn't hold an edge as long or as good but it is I'm sure much easier to sharpen and for bush craft, who needs a monster knife to be shaving razor sharp! It looks just as good as the $300 counter part. Mtech all the way unless your deploying to the front lines or shipping out to Afgan!
This is such an awesome looking knife.
It's really an extremely nice blade and very well made.
@85wifebeater
Depends on what you think expensive is, but in general they are higher that most anything else other than Custom knives.
That is one H of a knife right there. Oh brother what a cool knife that would be great for the bush!
Thanks for sharing man!
@85wifebeater
Order directly from Busse, go to the shows, or in the For Sale forums on Blade Forums.
@ForOeight
That's the Busse NMFBM.
Yes it's a good chopper.
IS IT FULL TANG THAT IS ALL I WANT TO KNOW...nobody seems to talk about that....
@maxflorian89
It's the factory finish. :)

How do you feel about the tang construction. Apparently, its not a full tang but a "cable tang," which supposedly costs more.
@Mohoboson241
Just went and looked, looks good and so does the Leatherneck.
His other knife is the Busse FUSION BATTLE MISTRESS (or FBM)
It's a FFBM, don't have it anymore though.
On cold steel website forums they refer to it as a rat-tail/cable tang. So either will suffice.

That Busse is gorgeous.What's it called, and how much?
good blade design,,,be cool if they did one with a Mortise Tang,,like on the 1917 CS Frontier Bowie,,,but Wow they are good looking knives,,,Enjoy
@Mohoboson241
Haven't heard about that one yet.
have you heard the new natchez bowie in sk 5 is coming out much more affordable.
@85wifebeater
You can beat on Busses all day long, they can take it and more that I can ever give them. :)
i don't think i can afford a $700 bowie, BUT I WANT ONE!!!!!
WHATS THE NAME OF YOUR OTHER BLADE???
It's a rat tail tang
@chabochi1 Anybody who doesn't want VG-1 to chip like crazy whilst hacking through wood.
No, it has a wire tang.
WRONG!! Threaded, hardened steel rod (not cable)
if i could afford the natchez i would totally put it to use. who spends that kind of money and just stares at it?
I'm sorry, I just fell asleep...
I turned my volume up as high as it can go, and I can still barely understand a word you say. The birds are drowning your voice out.
