I grew up in Pakistan around many friends from the northern regions. I have to say that Black Afgano has done a brilliant job in capturing the typical aroma of that region (and it's not the cannabis note but the entire blend, maybe how the Oud is blended with the woods). I can't quite put my finger on what that unique scent is, but I feel that Perfume Parlour's name "Strong Pashtun" captures the essence so well. PP's title is even better than the original IMHO. People who have been to those parts of the world will know exactly what I'm talking about. I tested PP's sample with my wife without telling her anything about the scent, and her reaction was that it reminded her of a friend from that region!
I was actually wonder why nobody talks about the Fragrance House Beach Geeza?????? I never ever hear one bit about this epic house...Everything they make is Fire!!! Why they get no love is beyond Me!!!Coco Moon Jet Set Ocean Water Jupiter Java Coco Moon Chocolate version!!! All super Frags!!!

Yeah me too . just actually got pp duro , wasn’t as strong as I’d hoped but really loved it , familiar somehow . But it can be deceptive. Great video .

Chris, just got a mix of pp Killian and Nasomatto which are all very nice but Duro just might be a new signature for me. I remember the first time I tried Kouros in 1982, I was 20, I’m now 58 and am going to have to buy a bottle of the original so many thanks indeed. I bought the oils and will probably get a edp from pp as well.

Great videos, i own two of the one's you spoke about and them are clones from pp- baraonda and pardon, the only issue i have with these is with the longevity apart from they smell amazing, even if they are a little off from the original you still smell great, i need to try the black afghano, keep up the vids

Tried all the pp versions of the nassamatto line, love all of them in different ways, but black afgano is the one I find myself having to put my nose to every day, it’s addictive.

Great descriptions of 4 fine Nassomato Fragrances, I like that you aren't all pretentious and overly affectatious with your descriptions,it's totally unnecessary and doesn't help. You are totally on point with your descriptions actually explaining your thoughts and feelings in a classy way without the bullshit. Just bought. Baraonda which I love. I think their iteration of Black Afgano was a bit closer than Pardon, but both are great. I always seem to think of a log cabin every time I smell them... Too much camping lately I suppose!
Are the roll on sizes a different concentration? Wondering whether to buy the roll on or the spray bottles. Roll on is cheaper but I’d buy the spray if they are more faithful clones.
I do need to explore nassamato more. But PP were a good start fro me and same here the reason I got into all this. They really do have some incredible ones

I know you love your Pardon, Chris! For some reason, Black Afgano never struck me as too strong or challenging. A bit otherworldly, yes, but warm and comforting once you have it down.
Nasamatto have some of my favourite fragrances especially pardon , so it's great to learn more about these. I've not tried anything from perfume parlour :)

I have Black Afgano, Pardon, Duro and ChinaWhite from Nasomatto, they 're great. I will try some their clone, but i think clones will help me save a bit, and i still love Nasomatto and respect The Nose 🙈🙉
Didn't tested the nasomatto versions, but I tested some Amouage versions as journey , lyric and jubilation, sure, not deph as the orignals ( expecially in the opening ) but they do the job, jubilation instead misses the tobacco note from the orignal but weird to say I may love the pp more
I dont have the original Black Afgano but have several clones/interpretations and find the PP version my favourite, although the others are all interesting in their own way. I love the dark & mysterious smokiness but with a subtle background sweetness and the original is probably my no. 1 target for a niche buy although I think the PP version is amazing and addictive. Strangely I dont get the cannabis smell that is often talked about.
Good stuff Chris, i have the kilian back to black version in the oil which is ok, have you tried the sprays? I got the oil because i thought the sprays would just be diluted versions of the oils.
Hi chris dont want to bring them down .perfume parlour.but bought some 3 weeks ago and found them very wattery.running of my face.?.now ive bought a lot from them ..before lockdown.and last year .on your say...and found them to be strong and oily..and very near..what a let down on the last ones..and there was a few bob spent on them ..got a adventus clone one of ebay..avalanche ? Or something like thst.and was a good take on .avetus..but ill be giving them a wide berth for now..just my take on them ..cheers

Hey Chris! Interesting video! A couple of months ago I was inspired by you to try out some oils from PP, but (then?) they wouldn't ship to Sweden. So I tried "arabian perfume oils" instead, also a UK based company (Essex). From what I understand it's a small family business. Have you tried anything from them? I've got like 10 oils now. Imho their clones are fantastic! /Paul 🇸🇪

Great video, many niche brands are doing an amazing job and no disrespect to them but for many year the notes that you find in perfumes in todays markets now have been done with the likes of perfume parlour and other small cheap brands which do not smell cheap and are pure puffins oils. In Islamic countries see use them often when going to the mosques to pray.
Obviously Perfume Parlour does not let there Fragrances Masterate or how ever you spell it!!! you no what i mean! I guess when i think of Perfume Parlour i think Quick and not made well...Its a clone house!!! I could obviously be wrong but that is what comes to mind...Cheap and quick,,,,I figure if you really like a certain smell you might as well get the original one...Even if you got to save for it....Good things come to those that wait!

A little less smoky but the scent is very close. Way better than UAE synthetic clones
