I remember years ago hearing the great Tom Joyner talking about the hurt he felt regarding this wonderful HBCU falling apart and he wished that he could help this university in every way possible and now to see this university back on track what a wonderful site to see. Hell to all of the HBCU.
MBC was my dream when I was in high school 20 years ago in eastpoint. I used to live close to the AUC back then and I am still heart broken not to have been able to go.
This is great NOW let’s get SOUTH CAROLINA STATE university (HBCU) in South Carolina to get its accreditation back for there 4 year engineering program & nursing program along with creating a full research medical program
I so badly want to see a comeback of Morris Brown. Fresh band, renovated church, maybe a basketball team, etc. I don't attend so I don't make the choices, but it'd be cool if it happens.
When I think of Morris Brown I think of Nick Canon and Drumline. I was graduating high school back then (when the movie came out). At first I was like "I wanna go to Atlanta A&T". Only to sadly realize Atlanta A&T was a fictional school. So then I was like imma go to Morris Brown. Then realized them mofos got their accreditation snatched. So yeah. That ended any thought of going to an HBCU for me. But I'm happy to hear Morris Brown is back.
Actually....this is a shame! A reputable college should never be in a position to lose it's accreditation. It is a stain on all black colleges who already are looked upon as 3rd and 4th rate so-called institutions of higher learning!
Yeah, it was a shame juxtaposed a stain: the 1st Black female President of Morris Brown ruined it! Like Eve tricked Adam in the garden with Satan and brought about SIN, HBCUS are not immune from SINS (theft, greed, embezzlement, etc). However, MBC NEVER CLOSED! Did you write a check yet? Students can use your financial contributions turning “shame” into “success” 💯🙏🏿📚💰.
@@MichaelGilmoreTV hmm!....I find it extremely difficult to give to an institution whose leadership intentionally robbed, and raped it financially. It's been roughly 20 years since they lost accreditation, why didn't other HBCU's help them out? Has BLM contributed to their cause? No....they are busy purchasing million dollar homes for themselves! They like myself find it hard to just throw money away! I don't know how old you are but realize this.....African-Americans (so-called) have changed dramatically since the days when the HBCU's were first established!
@@a.c.6475 Point well taken! We can all pinpoint problems. But there are also solutions. Yes, everyone knows MBC history as well as others who “stole” money juxtaposed “mismanaged.” However, it is a NEW day for MBC, a NEW history, a NEW mission and a NEW rebirth. The book has closed on the past and a new book is now be re-written. YOU can dwell on the past; I and others are looking forward to Morris Brown’s future. Sidenote: I’m 55.
A plethora of reasons. Lets start with “success” is subjective, not everyone has the same journey, and to the Believer nothings impossible… we aren’t celebrating failure, we’re celebrating the results of the years of hard work to correct wrongs that this administration had nothing to do with. They took the challenge and are steering the school in the right direction. But i agree with your initial statement, we are very unique people, especially those of use who rather highlight the negative than to encourage our people to keep pushing and get results 🙃.
This is absolutely incredible!

@A.C. Actually, go pitch a tent in on coming traffic 🚦

We are very unique people. We celebrate failure as normalcy. Why would any informed parent send the loved ones to MB?
I believe they call it "Failure Up".
Cuz the person who caused this is long gone! Hopefully they get back to greatness...it was the first HBCU actually founded by black people
What failure we are back.
It may be a viable option for someone paying for their own college tuition.
