Showcase of John's 1/32 scale Tamiya F-15C. Its a technological and creative masterpiece featuring exquisite scratchbuilt, resin, and photoetched-metal details - and it's wired for lights! (FSM).
This model brings our little hobby to an art form. I congradulate anyone who has the talent, discipline, and took the time to do this masterwork. When someone makes a backhanded compliment like"I used to build models when I wa a kid", show them this and say, "not like this you did'nt. Let's salute the man and not worry about being a Monday morning quterback.
G'day John, another of your magnificent models. I love the way you've set it up to be most appropriately seen in a night setting as it is about to be serviced, overnight, for its sorties the next day. (Although, the ordinance would certainly be removed from the aircraft well before that level of servicing would take place.) The cockpit detail and the instrument lighting is wonderful, as are the blinking nav. lights. Seeing your models shames my pitiful efforts as a modeller, yet they also inspire me to take much more time in finishing off the paint job and adding the tiny details that one finds when one is up close and personal with aircraft, something a lot of modelers overlook. I worked near and on the flight line of our air force's C-130, back in the 70s, and that's why I love your C-130 model so much. Real aircraft up close tell you many 'secrets' about how they have been flown, how dirty they get, and how they are cared for, or abused by those working in them and on them. Most modelers miss that detail. I don't know if you've been 'touch close' to a Herc but it sure looks like you have, as it does in this model. I can't comment about your stealth aircraft model because I've never been near to one of those babies; but I'd sure like to be. Anyway, John, I know all this work of yours was a long time ago but it still looks fresh and absolutely brilliant to me, tonight, here in Tasmania. Cheers, John and all the best to you and your family. BH
F-15 is designed with all-moving horizontal tail surfaces, however I would say the ailerons are needed as primary roll control elements, elevons only as secondary. Classic flaps are usually positioned closer to the fuselage - finally the flaps are also visible on the model...
A magnificent model - by any standards -- JModern jets are not my area of iexpertise - but the "ailerons" you are commenting about are actually flaps - I'm reasonably certain that the F15 and its ilk use elevons for their primary manouvering surfaces.
Hi John, super look you Eagle. THX. You have typical usa name .."Vojtech"😊😁. You family earl first house Czechoslovakia?? Salut, Edward, Czech Republic
Well I'm no expert on modern blowtorches but probably the F15 has flapperons as well . I can't believe JV would have made a mistake when he has obviously researched his subject so well. Sallos1 you are right there ARE flaps inboard which seem to be up - Maybe the man himself can explain.....

For any people who ever build a model...and knows how difficult it is, this F-15 is a masterpiece. Congratulations
Jon Vojtech is easily the best model builder ever! His builds are just amazing even in 1/72!
Johnny Sanchez Christian Gerard is the Best on Planet after him is Diego Quijano and then John Vojtech

What about ailerons angle - why are both down - it is some mistake, isn't it?
is it on sale;-) and the price...........
Before this video, I thought I was a modeller...
John how many hours you spend for that?
Knap werk hoelang heb je er aan gewerkt proficiaat
A co ta souhlasná výchylka křidélek, to je snad omyl, ne?
Great model indeed, though too much make-up (weathering) for me. The music is a remix of the Matrix theme by the way.
aaaaa fucking mazing amazing dude
