  • It is making itself right at home, early to bed, late to rise. It has also began to fly a little, it is a little wobbly but manages to land where it intends to go. As for exploring on the grass, forget it. I have to bath it by dropping water on it, much of it it tries to drink. Food is a little easier now that I smartened up and use the little blender to make a mash out of it. It likes to sit on my finger to eat, which is alright as it confines the mess it drops. The bedding is working out well, it likes to play with it, it picks up a piece and shakes it then throws it. At the end of the day its flying had improved so much it was landing on my arm, shoulder and head. It can get out its basket whenever it wants, but it apparently feels safe in it. It is amazing how quickly it has adapted to being around a human. It takes everything in its stride, I can vacuum, spray the hose, leave it alone for a few minutes, it just chills. There is still not a single robin in sight, like someone pressed a switch and they vanished. I wonder how this little dude is going to learn to feed itself, I sure hope it is natural instinct because I draw the line a feeding it worms. It does sit on my chest and look at my mouth like it expects a big juicy insect.
I really wish the rehabber had answered my email or returned my call, but all in all it is not that much trouble, yet.
