That's a statement on the ice. The Nov 18 post by Friedman shocked me...initially thought it was an older post. What? Is Friedman part of the locker-room, now? He seemed to have Marchy making unnecessary clarifications. The Bruins have a window (I believe its 2026) before Swayman's no-trade kicks in.
A "flat line" training camp? And club brass knew this and didn't address it? Isn't that the time to nip that situation in the bud instead of allowing it to carry intro the regular season?
How about jealousy? Swayman has a 80mm K and did not earn the big bucks like Marchand & less so Pasternak ( no Cup). Sacco has to get Swayman right. This reset goes nowhere if the D doesnt play for Swayman.
You are absolutely correct. A different podcast would tell you that this was all the result of Neely calling out Swayman.... said podcast got extremely defensive when I pointed out that it was likely they spoke with Swayman before trading Ulmark but lo and behold after they did his agent saw a chance to use that leverage to get a contract that was wholly unwarranted. I think Neely would have been better served not to put it the way he did but… It was understandably frustrating for him. And I'm sure that Swayman has alienated a lot of that locker room. And I'm not sure what he'll look like as a number one through an entire season.
I was at a charity hockey game event many years ago at Canton ponquapog ice rink, it was game between Boston Fires hockey team and a combination of Canton and Stoughton Police/Fire Departments ( best players ) for a Boston Fire Lieutenant who was killed in the line of duty wand his family present and a fight broke out on the ice .
now it seems like Charlie Jacobs is running the show. i would love to hear a press conference with just Charlie Jacobs and Cam Neely.no sweeney, no sacco or the players. i would love to hear the thoughts on the direction of the team, and the master plan going forward. especially going forward beyond this season.
Any other team would've blown up this rotten core of losers years ago and kept Cassidy instead. But nope not here. How many coaches are these losers are allowed to ruin before the players get held accountable
If the players tuned out this year, then we trace the last set of events to the FLA series. Any tenuous events besides Marchy getting physically knocked out whilst Monty (who blew it the year before; was gifted a team that almost coaches itself) dismissed further involvement with his "the ref's do an outstanding job" summary? That was a weird moment. Remember that one? Since then it's been the Swayman thing, new players, a disjointed camp and results that resemble a team that is "out of juice" in Monty-speak, just flat in Sweeney-speak, or out of shape in NHL-speak. And that difference (as Sweeney recently highlighted and Marchy has hinted at with his compete reminders) is even bigger between regular season play and the playoffs....between AHL and NHL. 🤔
Brad to Edmonton or Colorado, Coyle, Zacha and Swayman (ANYWHERE ELSE). That should net draft and developmental capital and clear out our cap + locker room.
The players don't like the new guys. They don't want to play Bruin's hockey. Too many players have the take the money and run mentality . Don has to go.
I don't understand the arrogance from this team you haven't won in 14 years they have gotten their ass handed to them by florida two straight years come out to play or go home if these players don't play to the standard they have to go. Now to the GM and president, they have to go there has to be accountability you can't continue to put out a roster that is flawed and continue to fire coaches and keep your job this team needs a fresh start. When chara and bergeron were there they held the standard in the locker room but now they are gone the standard has dipped

Rember last yrs Playoffs when Matgess came back and leafs lost 2 of 3, seen arguing with Nylander on the Bench ...do you believe the team wanted JT Stripped of the C ? IMO Neely was to civil. I would have let the kid walk. I had a bad vibe about him since day one. He’s a me me person.
