since the shapes are different on mirai from nintendo compared to sony, probably stick to official songs first then worry about these custom songs later. I do not really recommend staying in hard mode too long though as you should have enough experience to play extreme especially the easier extreme charts so u can get used to the patterns faster. but everyone has their own learning pace. Don't bother with normal or easy that is just a waste of time( skill progression wise)

Hes using the dpad. He presses right on the dpad with his left hand, which is equivalent to pressing O Then he uses his right hand to press X Is that what you meant by the question? You know you can use the left side of the controller too, right?
He’s using the D-Pad. When there’s lots of notes, or lots of alternate notes it’s 10x easier to use the D-Pad instead of quickly changing from X to O for example! Using the D-Pad is very helpful lol
