Brent in his element working on others cars and helping them reach their goals… he really is a unique guy. Not to mention helping all of us by sharing his knowledge on the channel
Hey guys the cage looks sic! Could you let us know in the next vid if you all are trying to make sic week to see Kyle run. Love your vids and I'm excited to see what lies ahead for the 2024
That's a seriously crazy ass cage. Not easy with the full HVAC system still in. The attention to detail is worth it! Fitment is great and it looks perfect! 👌
You guys... I'm a videographer, photographer, and work on producing short films and youtube videos every day. Nice work fellars!!! Hollar! I know it's hard work, but It seems to be paying off and marketing your true abilities and true love for the world of Auto. Love it, Love Y'all. Happy New Year! 2024 is going to be a good one!
Love PFI I need more PFI videos plz love watching you guys build stuff N just the day to day stuff use do thank you for the past three years I’ve been watching you guys never a boring video from use keep them coming
Maaan!! I feel your pain Brent! I used to build quarter midgets which are dirt and asphalt race cars for kids. And I’ve made thousands of these cars. Over 250+ welds on each chassis not including front and rear bumpers and nerph bars/ side bars. Then got into building micro and full side sprint cars too. I wish I could just pack up my welder and help yall out for a few weeks!💪🏼 Keep pushing Brent, it’ll all pay off in the end!! ❤you guys!!🙏🏻❤️💪🏼👍🏻🤣
Wow was very emotional watching. Excitement nervous happy scary. The hole gamut of emotions. So much want to thank the team there for all the hard work.
Love the insight to building this type of cage and totally feel for Brent doing some strange GTR yoga to get those welds in!!! Hope the back is doing better lol next time leave that final welding to the young bucks
Nothing's happening, it's chilling while the guys grind out everyone else's projects. Brent will update us and get back into it when a bit of time has freed up
I hope one day I'll have a garage where I can try if I could actually work on a car. More than likely not, but even if I can change the spark plugs that be a great start. I want my 3rd gen Prelude and an E34 back.
you build a sweet cage maybe not as sweet as a chassis shop that builds them all day every day but sweet and you go all the way with your welds and im not so sure how many people realize that NHRA cage rules states that all tubes must be welded at least 70% around but i understand your concern and your commitment
I'd love to get my Mustang GT to these guys for a Whipple and good Tune something similar to what Cletus did to the F150. ALL I want is like 600 to 650 wheel nothing to crazy, a Stage 1 Whipple upgrade would be all i need.. I want it to still be Daily-able and not to crazy for the streets.. But these GTR's are Nasty.. Nissan made a JDM monster with that car..
You made me think about other materials for a roll cage, Steel or Chromoly seems the most practical, with titanium and stainless having their drawbacks. But after searching I can't find anyone that made a cage from carbon. As long as you weren't concerned about looks (weave) it would not be terribly difficult to lay. but coming up with molds would be a challenge. at one point I had an Idea to lay 2 layers of fiberglass in the whole interior (similar to sound insulation) of my DA9 (long time ago). I wonder what 2-4 layers of carbon roof to floor would add to the rigidity (safety). what about 4 more layers of kevlar and 2 more carbon. we goin bulletproof now
Carbon is an option - if ya gots the ducats. Search a little about F1/Indy car carbon components to find how much the technology costs when you include the design/engineering aspect.
@@AL_EKs I'm well aware of the costs. I had a 100 x 6 ft roll of fiber mat back when i was considering this. along with buckets of resin, we used to build body kits and do fiberglass rust repair. The main cost of carbon is the tooling/molds. the resin can be cheap, the mat is more expensive than fiber but we not talking millions. 16000 vs 1600 for a roll. not impossible.
Does it matter that the cage seemed like it was in a bind and you locked it in by welding it? Doesn't that induce stress into the whole structure? Can that preload into the chassis?
Brent are u driving in sick week?(can't remember if u said so or not) And maybe RMRW?? You and cleet need to do RMRW together again. Missed it last year. Also any updates on shonuff and the bully???
You should hit up Rob dahm or anyone with some nice machinery but I totally think he would be down to make a straight 8 k series by putting together two k-series engines together
@sjv6598 it's a legend dude, it was Brent's dream in his 20's, lots of drive train parts on that car had a big influence in the import industry today. It wasn't just a car that was slapped together without a thought. No the front suspension didn't work the best. It worked better than I thought it would, when that car lit it fkn lit. Th front end was getting re worked I can't wate to see it rip again
Thanks for taking the time to make these update videos. We all know how busy y'all are and we appreciate it.

Forget these GTRs. What’s up with Bully?
Gtr pays the bills, pfi is a major underdog.. they deserve to be top dogs, pfi will always be #1 in my book
@@fluffpantss True, GTRs pay the bill. But at least an update would be cool.

Sorry I haven't been following, but who's car in that?
this is our raceweek buddy Trevor’s GTR. He has those 7 second goals and we’re gonna help achieve it
