Peavine Canyon Nevada FPV Flight

Filmed with DJI Action 2 Camera piggybacked on DJI FPV Drone. We ended up camping in this area by accident when looking for a place to camp before it got too dark. Turned out to have awesome landscapes as we drove in to the canyon

Nice Jim ! Love that 1st song. I keep looking at the fpv.there still out there. Looked at iflight and geprc too but betaflight scares me..guess my ole avata will do for now.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, betaflight can be a pain to set up and end up costing more than the FPV drone with far less safety features. I ended up loosing this drone and camera 3 days after this flight up in Oregon! I'll post a goggles video showing the final flight later, but I had over 500 flights on it. It disconnected behiind a hill and this time the RTH did not work. I spent hours looking for it but no luck. I flew the Avata the following day and my goggles V2 failed in flight when the screen went blank. So now I have no goggles to fly either drone (I have a back up FPV drone). I considered getting the Avata 2 but would still need goggles for the FPV drone so I went ahead and ordered the DJI FPV Explorer Combo (Goggles Integra). Those goggles should be nice and will work with both FPV and Avata @1080P so looking forward to that. Pretty good price on Amazon ($899) for the explorer combo.

@@thecuriousnomad4712 so you lost your orig fpv drone? I have the integra goggles I got with my avata, there great, i use them with my mini 3 pro too. 2 friends got the avata 2, its nice but not that much better than my avata as far as im concerned, thats why im looking at the fpv drone, something really different than the avata. I wish dji would make a new fpv drone...when did you lose the drone? recently?

Just over 2 miles on this flight. The drone is good for 3 miles out returning with below 20% battery but that is pushing it. Thanks

Hows the stock camera on the fpv? Any of your videos shot with it that i could watch?

The stock camera is OK but cannot compare to the DJI Action 2 or other quality cameras. The resolution is good but the video is sometimes washed out compared to the action 2. Also, the stock camera stutters on every roll or loop so for aerobatics gotta have a piggyback camera. @@thecuriousnomad4712 Looked pretty dang good to me, but ill probably wait and see what comes up in the future. Ive flown my avata out to some pretty cool areas . Guess itll do for now...The mini 3 pro is fun with the goggles and motion controller, feels like im flying a helicopter..thought about the air 3 since i could use my integra goggles with it too...post that loss of the fpv!
