- For my 3rd trip of January, I headed over to the Peak District and in particular; Edale, for an adventure up Kinder Scout. Joining me on this trip was Kieron Gazza @KieronGazza & Simon Frampton @frambo7.
From Edale car park we headed directly to the café for a full English breakfast before starting our ascent up Kinder.🙂
From the café, we then made our way up the Nab via Golden Clough/Ringing Rodger way. Once we were on the tops, we were treated to some amazing views, and also, some chilly wind conditions. We took the edge path which led us to Jagger's Clough where we filled up on water, then we made our way to our location for the night, just near Crookstone Knoll.
When all 3 of us had got our tents pitched and everything inside sorted, we settled down to a few beers and some great banter. At one point during the evening, Kev Newbold and his lovely, friendly dog called Journey dropped by and we had a good old chat together.
Later that evening, I cooked myself a tasty warming curry on the stove and then with a full stomach and feeling comfortable and sleepy, I settled down for the night.
In the morning, we were greeted with a dry morning. In-fact it was so dry that even the outsides of our tents didn't need wiping down, which made packing up easy. We then made our way along the edge path and back to Ringing Rodger, where we made our way down off Kinder and back into Edale.
Once again, this was a cracking camp and a highly enjoyable one at that. Kieron and Simon were great company and 3 of us all had some great laughs together.👍🙂🍻
