Research has shown the best way to relax is to wear a cardigan with open pockets. Pockets with closed buttons create nervous tension.

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH.
that would be a fucken hilarious ringwalk outfit. and then have the coach shirtless with boxing trunks on. (like some weird cosplay prank)

glad you found it helpful. indeed fighters have to deal a lot with nerves. it can be scary facing someone who wants to take your head off.

You focus on nerves about winning/losing but how about getting hurt. Many boxers get retinal detachments - playing with eyes is no joke. Brains getting knocked around - well you have thirty or so years to worry about that. You can always monitor volume, but still it's your brain. Look at Mike Tyson etc... What is your take?

Boxing is dangerous. You can get hurt. Same with many other sports. Don’t do it beyond the point of fun (and safety) unless you feel the extra risk is worth it.
I’m not gonna go around telling people not to play tackle football, skydiving, parkour, motorcycle riding, etc.

I always have to shit right before exams or fights. Is this normal instinct or learned behaviour

You make cover this in the past. What should I be putting Vaseline on my face before sparring? And if so, what area should I apply it to? And how should I put it on my helmet as well? Should I even wear a helmet?

Usually on nose, cheeks, above and below eyes. Basically the protruding bone areas and then some on headgear as well. In sparring, I don't care for it but yeah some fighters really do it all the time for everything.

Nerves = fear. It's important to say the truth
