    I agree with you. The older I get the more I like inside fighting. Its a great way to rack up some points, get a rest and frustrate your opponent. Tends to make them angry though lol.

      Hahahah yes! Inside fighters can be so annoying. Especially for those young dudes hunting clean shots and winging power punches all the time. I love wrestling on the inside and just being all slippery.

      lol true . I used to have very active style . Now at 45 I’m
      More like a James tony . Stand there and roll
      , cover up when needed and relax . Let the kids do the work for you 😂

    Duran, Armstrong, Foreman, Moore, Patterson, Tyson, and many artists of the inside has repeatedly shown that inside fighting is it's own science within the sweet science. Thank you for sharing this knowledge.

    Love these tips. Gonna try them in my next sparring sessions. I loveeeee inside fighting so this is pretty exciting. Are uppercuts ever an issue with you bringing the hands out to deflect vs a tight shell?

    • @expertboxing
      @expertboxing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know if you ever sparred or watched an old school fighter on the inside before...but they put their forearms down to block uppercuts all the time. In fact, that's where their arms tend to go when they're inside...they put their arms down to block body shots, since the head is already lowered to avoid straight shots. Try watching Robert Duran to see what I mean. Especially in sparring.

    Oh shit haha I love trick of weaving around him when he tries to take your back. Gonna have to try that on my main sparring partner, hes always aggressively circling to the back side.

    Very nice short tutorial. Much appreciated.
    May I request a video about body maintenance while training, like stretches to minimize injuries or fatigue to the parts of the body that could get over-trained...
    I see lots of guys struggling with the lead arm/shoulder after training for a few month's or years. Is like to know what you guys do keep the body injury free and less fatigue on the often used joints.

    I remember u said 100 rounds to become decent in boxing. My question is can I learn with just purely sparring? No coach, no classes. Just TH-cam, bag work, shadowboxing, and sparring?

      @@Close2silent you dont have anyone pointing out your mistakes, so you’ll repeat them and turn them into habits, ofc you can go running and do conditioning but you cant learn technique by yourself

    Do you get more power in the jab if you turn ur body little bit or should it just be the habd shoulder

    • @expertboxing
      @expertboxing  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you turn your body, then it's a left cross. A left cross has more power than a jab, but doesn't have the advantages of a jab....which is being faster, longer, more energy-efficient, less telegraphing, and also leaves you less vulnerable to counters.

    Could not disagree more about flaring your arms out. Unless you are 5-7 years into boxing that is not for you.
