  • We move south from Mt Dare and hit the famed Oodnadatta Track. With a overnighter at the Pink Roadhouse and Haligan Bay on the shores of Lake Eyre we then finally make it to Coober Pedy wher we spent two nights staying at an underground house. While here we explore the many underground shops and museums in town as well try the local cuisines and of course dig for our fortunes of Opal.
Moving on we explore a few more attractions such as the hot artisan spa at Coward Springs, where we also tried our first ever taste of date ice cream and we think it will be worth the drive back out here just for this!
Also along the way we checked out some natural wonders like the Mound Springs and some man made marvels like the Algebuckina Bridge and some massive art sculptures.
We finally make to Marree only to have some car troubles which halt our progress for a few days.

Graham and his chopped y62 and the dmax he lent the other couple . Would bet they cart them on that truck so they don't have to do the long hours on the road . Bit weak if that's the case .

@@chadingerson6354 hey mate. You’re the first one to get that one. Thanks for commenting. I think they truck the rigs around in between shooting in different area so that they can have a break. I’d guess that they probably spend most of the year filming on the road and away from their homes so it’s prob a good way get them more time at home.

Hi mate, great video, really enjoyed it. Those rigs on the back of the truck look like. 4wd 24/7 off grid. doing the Simpson desert part of the show.

Thanks mate. Yeah, that was them. Being transported down to flinders ranges for the Off Grid episodes I suspect.

Another enjoyable video guys and the quality shows from the amount of work that you put in to make and edit these videos . Just goes to show a family can just get out and enjoy our beautiful country with a budget rooftop tent . Plenty of protein in those flies 😂

Thanks mate. Yes it’s a bit if work to make the videos, as you know, but having them to look back on with the kids is definitely worth it.
We are spoilt for choice these days with affordable camping gear. It makes it super easy to get out there.

I love to do it mate. Making memories on the trips and making it everlasting with the videos. There is the potential for things to go wrong but we try and minimise it’s effect with carrying sat phones and such but you can never really eliminate the risk.
I’m glad to hear from you again and hope you’re well and keep enjoying the trips mate.

@@AdventuringPals currently at Dartmoor just short of Mt Gambier, to our delight a mother koala with little baby on board walked across the grass just in front of the van and climbed up a tree, there was a big male already up there that we hadn’t noticed. We have between us decades of moving through the bush and neither of us have ever seen a koala in the wild,so we’ve over the moon with excitement . 👍👍🐨🐨🐨❤️❤️🇦🇺

Great video lots of information places to see and stay, tuff luck about the bearing. Happy Travels to you and the other families. 🤗🤗 Ps a question do you have a retune on the 2.4 engine for more power. 🤔

Thanks mate. Yes tuff luck but it didn’t hinder the trip too much and happened at the right place. If it happened during the desert trip it would have been a much bigger deal.
      My engine is still stock.
