Yes...we Maine fishermen and fisherwomen are truly lucky to be able to snag such a variety of fish from our waters, sometimes the very same lake/pond/rifer/stream/brook.
I would LOVE to fish in a lake like that, especially since there’s no one else on the water. Nice and quiet.

Add a well to your pond my buddy just made a well for his pond and it helps in the summer keeps water levels up

Being from Maine I love seeing videos from here! Splake are one of my favorites to target. Let my dad reel in one of my ice traps in 2019 and got one 11lb 2oz! Was the state record but ended up getting broken a few months later!

Yea it was crazy! We got that one in march then in April a girl got one out of frost pond over 12lbs breaking my dad's record. Then that summer a guy got one that was over 13lbs breaking her record all in the same year! No it was not frost pond but was another pond up in that area. Got to love the north maine woods
Love Frost, neat little pond...Got a 6 lber on fly years back..Easy way to be sure you have a Splake is that they never have blue halo's..

One of my best days fishing trout was in the High Sierras With 30 mph winds and snow blowing sideways off the peaks coming down across the lake. Bad weather doesn't always mean bad fishing. I was at Convict lake near Mammoth CA.
I went and fished convict on a beautiful spring day and caught nothing, you are completely correct sir

I am in NY it’s cold and windy but I’ve been here my whole life it’s nothing when your used to it I fish local ponds and sometimes I am the only one fishing and I wonder sometimes why always catching fish and enjoying the outdoors sometimes from sun up to sun down with my daughter
I fished a pond in Southeast MA yesterday that had those exact same conditions. Really wish I had the day you had here haha. Awesome video, man. Really love to see you have fun and catch a ton of fish!

trout is by far the most satisfying freshwater fish to catch. They can be so finicky and hard to find, any size trout is a good one

I wish you would get a digger and expand the pond an extra 50-100 sq/ft and make it real deep.
That would allow so many more types of fish to be added too and help with cooling and evaporation

Come fish west grand lake this spring, ice out. Salmon- lake trout- splake and small mouth. Grand lake stream has great fishing and some of the best fly fishing. Look it up
