  • Step-by-step guide on how to replace / remove / change turn signal light switch on Ford Taurus sedan ( 2013 | 2014 | 2015 | 2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | SE | SEL | LIMITED | AWD | 3.5L ).
Turn signal light switch will actually quite often fail on Ford Taurus. It is just something that is used daily and with time / wear it will start giving you problems. Usually you won't be able to engage left or right turn signal light, it could get stuck at certain position or give you problems with engaging front wipers.
To replace this front wiper switch you will have to remove the front driver airbag, then remove the steering wheel and then you will be able to access turn signal light switch mounting screws. Before you start with any work make sure to disconnect negative battery pole.
To remove the airbag, you will have to insert a small tool such as a small flat screwdriver or an allen key into two openings on the side of the steering wheel. You have to push onto springs to release that airbag. Once you do it will pop out. Then disconnect two electrical connectors from the back of the driver airbag and remove the airbag.
Steering wheel is held by torx T50 bolt. Remove the bolt and disconnect electrical connectors. Pull of the steering wheel. If you are having problems you will have to use specialty tool made for steering wheel removal.
Now remove top and bottom steering wheel plastic covers to get access to turn signal light switch mounting screws. Remove the mounting screws, both are torx T10. Pop out the automatic steering wheel adjustment switch. Pull out and unplug the turn signal light switch. That's it. Good luck.
    Thanks for watching.
