Helicopters are 100% worth it, even at level 1 as most people in the early game focus on infantry and your gunships can be produced with a lvl 1 airbase as you demonstrated here they are extremely effective as anti-soft units and when you mix your groups to utilise both gunship/attack helo you cover both hard and soft targets with each attack, from there using SAM with your ground forces to protect from enemy jets or even your own air superiority planes if you have them will ensure air supremacy which is better than air superiority.. the difference being one allows you to operate in the air with relative safety (superiority) and the other denies the enemy airspace almost completely (supremacy) Jets become vulnerable in the air to SAM and on the ground, to rotary attacks.. Personally I use helicopters more than jets as your strike fighters even at max level will only do 9 vs hard targets (and costing 1500 components) compared to an attack helo ( costing 1250 components that also *isn't* targetable by SAM) doing 13 vs hard targets.. Just saying, cheaper.. hits harder.. only real downside is it's limited range in comparison to fixed-wing units. edit: also just wanted to point out at at level 1 the jet only has 2hp more than a gunship but at level 2 they are equal and as you progress through the upgrades the helicopter gains more HP than the jets.. so.. another reason to use them over jets😜 try them with airborne units as your main ground forces, by airborne i refer to not only airborne infantry, but all the air assault capable vehicles like Towed Artillery, Combat Recon Vehicle, Tank Destroyer, Mobile AA, SAM etc - They are all air assault capable within 400 range of an airbase and your helicopters after upgrades have a max range of 500.. use them all together and you'll have a good time, trust me 😁
Well in my experiance anti-air are used more than sams and the damage is better than jets but by the time your helis get to the target either an asf would be there to destry it if not a strike fighter wouldve already hit twice its only good for early game once you expand youre gonna see it very costly to keep on building those airports so the helis can do something i use attack helis if my enemy has sams never use them unless im in a small space with tons of cities together early game it can be argued helis have buffs to the fighters but their weaknesses outways them
Yeah.. Okay.. derp. Maybe next time you pay to win, you should pay for reading comprehension classes instead and you'll discover SAM doesn't even target helicopters lmfao

It always makes me happy to see people actually using airborne units. It seems very rare in my servers
Niiiice I just started this game!!
“Mazul Beak” is crazy 😂😂 it’s Mow-Zam-beek
i think the infantry commander ignores defense bonuses
Their worth it up to day 10, afterwards their a secondary option when SAMs are present. Elite Helicopters are a different story.

Yeah😂😂😂 but i think its worth it to just go for fighters helis are too slow have low range and only useful when your enemy uses sams
Helis are the best unit in the game if you know how to actually use them
