Dallin, You had a path, finish HS and do a two year mission. To be away from everything you know, especially because you have a close knit family and group of friends is challenging. There is nothing wrong with coming home early. A mission is NOT for everyone! It was a goal set by others and you felt like it was a requirement to move forward. Un-flippin-true!! You can still have and continue to build your relationship with God and not go on a mission. You can educate others in the comfort of your surroundings. You can’t help others unless you are mentally healthy and content. Baby steps. Pray. You’ll find what you want. There is NO time limit or right or wrong way. It’s the way that works for you! Take care and feel better.
