That's our old van. Its ex Thames Water Board and the kitchen unit is our custom design. We wanted sliding doors so you can access all the kitchen stuff while the bed is out and the top loading cubbies are so you can squish the bedding into storage easily.
Windscreen surround rust is common on the T4. They can let water in via the windscreen frame, but also where the A pillar joins the roof (it cracks) and behind the weather strip where separation can occur. Best to tackle all three areas at the same time. I'd recommend finding a place that knows those weak spots on the T4. A nice van for the price that was paid.
@willsvanadventures My T4 currently has a rusted widscreen surround, cracked A pillar to roof seam and separation behind the weather strip. I've chosen Autostyl down in Cornwall to undertake the repair. They know the T4 well. It is not a repair I would undertake myself as I have no idea how bad the windscreen surround is until the windscreen comes out. They all suffer water ingress at some stage. Rust at the bottom of the seat bases can be an indicator. Water can run down the inside of the A pillar and under the floor liner. There may be no evidence on top of the floor liner that water is getting in. I've covered the issue using a borescope to film inside the A pillar.
@@willsvanadventures nothing really that im aware of. Past owners *may* of had major work but i do think its the same engine. Ive just replaced the rear calipers, pads, discs, a driveshaft, dropped the tank to do some welding, freed up the aux tensioner, power steering pump and fluids, lowered it too. Doing the work myself saves a fortune, these really are a diy mechanics dream! just got to do the cam belt next. Some of these vans have over 500k on them! just do the maintenance when needed.
Yeah definitely! Mechanically it seems really good as well. Solid mot I believe, and doesn't seem bad underneath. I'm sure we can deffo get some update videos
@willsvanadventures Probably not. Think I commented before I saw the windscreen rust Impossible to guess without walking around and looking at the bodywork and underside.
Comment below how much you think it's worth!

No way! Thanks for watching, great ideas on the camper design. Very versatile and looks brilliant! How long did you own the van for?
@willsvanadventures it left the Water Board in 2011 when we bought it, and then we sold it to V&J in 2020.
Now you’ve cleaned it and fixed the bed can we have it back please! Looks awesome, grand job! Feeling nostalgic 😊
Hahah think they are loving it!
