3:11 'using both power sources nearly all the time' (but HybridMax has the SAME highway mpg as the gas turbo engine alone, so no mpg improvement at highway speeds).
I'm owner of 24y es300h in South korea. I love Toyota's THS system. However, initially, i'd like to buy crown 2.4L dual boost HEV (in USA, Crown platinum). In korea, there are not enough imports for vehicles included with Max hybrid system to get in my own hand in time. It's a shame that i can't enjoy this system in my life.
Hybrid systems are fantastic for fuel savings, but if you're looking for a fully electric ride, the bZ4X is a perfect option, offering modern tech and a zero-emission drive
This makes much more sense... EVs seem to be a government sponsored / politically driven / makes no sense, train wreck. Stranding people, caching on fire, charging takes too long and on and on. These systems use a much smaller battery combined with an engine so you can always drive your car. And, Toyoda has been perfecting this for years and years. Has my attention.
Hydrogen powered engines shall be used to produce electricity for EV cars, that we will not need engine oils and other related cost for car users! And may be easier to fix or repair!
Hi there, I have a few questions about the Hybrid Max System. Hopefully can someone clarify my ignorances. (ʘᴥʘ) Block A/ Is the MG1 still there in the Hybrid Max System? Can the gasoline-turbo engine charge the battery while driving? And in which segement operates the gasoline-turbo engine in normal case? Block B/ Can the turbo decluchs at low speed? what speed is Hybrid Max System design for? Block C/ What is the highlight of Hybrid Max System compare with mild-hybrid turbocharged engine? Thanks a lot for your time - love you guys (●ˇ∀ˇ●)
i got the Toyota Yaris 2021 , in my opinion the hybrid stuff works bad. An ''EV'' mode that needs atleast 70% battery and drive for max 2 mins or 5 seconds if u press the gas pedal SLIGHTLY to hard.
i think youre mixing up the purpose of a hyrbid up BATTERY cars are meant for actually driving. hybrids only handle the lowest fuel economy aspect of driving, 15 mph and below theres a reason why city mpg always was worse than highway its the stopping and starting, idling, and 10mph speeds like in parking lots. while the battery can still be used during normal driving, it's an OPTIMIZER, not for long distance driving like plug-in hybrids (an even bigger battery) or even full battery powered vehicles (which have MASSIVE batteries)
I'm all for Toyota's hybrids, but there's one reason why I own a MAZDA: CVT. CVT sounds like crap, can you please have a hybrid version or a 'mild hybriod' with 6 speed AT. I know CVT is more fuel efficient, but I still want manual mode and sound/feel of gear shifting when accelerating.
The E-CVT in the THS hybrid system isn't a traditional CVT. It has few moving parts and is much more reliable. The hybrid max system shown here does use a traditional transmission. It's still a full hybrid because the engine will still shut off when it isn't needed. It just doesn't happen as often as with the THS system.
This system removes a lot of benefits of the PSD system. Now we have gears, clutch and a turbo to worry about. It will probably be far less reliable.

U get power along entire rpm band. Where as traditional turbo you have less power at lower rpms.
Toyota is for all in the world ❤
Very good ❤
Thanks for the love! 🤗
Ordered a Toyota plus I use one everyday in an underground mine. Tough as nails

You mean Crown "Crossover"
Sooo will we at least see the Hybrid MAX in the new Camry for the XSE trims?

Nice job Toyota crown
😎 👑
Why can't ordinary hybrid be powered as closely to hybrid max and why can't normal hybrid use traditional automatic transmission
love this
Glad you love it too! ❤️
What is 'electrified fun'?

EVs burn less often, only extinguishing them is more difficult
My family's 3rd Gen Prius caught on fire (maybe 2 times now) but we still love them!
I love my ev. No issues.

Is there 2 types max sizes out out ?

BATTERY cars are meant for actually driving.
hybrids only handle the lowest fuel economy aspect of driving, 15 mph and below

Dont press the ev button, just drive.
That EV button is a gimmick.
