I am reminded of a small talk Rodia and Yi Sang had on the bus, the one about colours. How one who has never once known the sight of a blue sky, would not mourn not being to see it again. So, One who knew nothing but pain, cold and hunger, was shown just a little bit of love - only to have it taken away from him. To Heathcliff, desire to be by her side was so strong, he would absolutely hurt anyone - himself as well - just to never lose it. Hell on earth would be nothing compared to having love and affection he tasted ONCE forever out of his reach. He endured worse than hell, just for it, after all. And even in limbus - was Heathcliff EVER shown any affection? Well of insults and mockery, looked down on as uneducated, lowly and backstreets trash; any praise - backhanded as a joke. But he endured it all. Every one of thousand scars on his body, every beating and threat - he endured it all. Growing a hard shell around the soft heart so he endures it all. But the strain and pressure and blow after blow after blow keep coming and coming... ...And the shell shatters.
Also, little fun detail: LCB Heathcliff (who i unironically took to this canto) skills are envy - wrath - lust, with Upheaval actually hitting like a goddamn truck. Altcliff's upheaval is gloom, however - i guess specifying his mourning. And the bodysack scene... so much VIOLENCE, unbridled fury, so much pain and tears, and hate, pumelling even smallest bit of flesh to particles lest his spine breaks from impact. Imagine hating yourself SO MUCH.
Post-stream comment time! Project Moon reaching new Peak Fiction as always with new Canto(I'm scared of Canto 33). Small detail that can be noticed in finale bodysack scene is that when it switches to wrath it has the !warning! text near numbers which means what we saw was a corosion of Bodysack. So Heathcliff distortion will probably be a wolf referencing either Cerberus(He mentioned inferno in last part of his talk with Carmen) or Aleyway Watchdogs considering that he even has an EGO of that abnormality. Makes me also wonder if seasonal Heathcliff ID is going to be the version of him were he stayed with Cathy or Distorted Heathcliff? Either way I would be satisfied with both. And for the end I will blatantly still a meme I found on reddit. Heathcliff: What a Canto, huh? Don Quixote: Captain it's only part two!
Actually using the novel and Hindley distortion as a reference, him turbing into a dog is more of a reference to how Heathcliff owned many dogs as the master of Wuthering Heights and as you saw in the cutscene, Heath also has a lot of trauma involving dogs too.

I wonder deep voice kid Heathcliff is a bug? Maybe used a wrong sprite for Heath and Catherine? Age gap between them and Hindley seems way to drastic in that cutscene. Also they literally have kid voice for heathcliff in the very next cutscene
I feel like it's because the scene took place within Hindley's mind, that's why we see young Heath and Cathy while he himself looked grown up. It's like he's looking into the past. What I find weird is why did they use the grown up voice for Heath while Cathy uses her young voice.
