I took a hiatus from air rb. Lately, been playing a lot of sim with the buds. If it wasn't for hunter, I wouldn't have known about the SAS mode for top tier. I usually fly the MLD. I find sim air battles more interesting and thrilling than air rb. CAS'ing is fun too.
Air RB is a mess and arcadish .. you don't have a chance nor time to use your plane as intended, keep doing sim my friend .. good luck :)

Also wtf are aircraft without AGM supposed to do? They have the same SPAA at BR where you have no CCIP/RP no Countermeasures and no standoff weapons. They have made it literally impossible to ground pound in Sim at any BR below 10.3
Nahh couple really high energy bomb runs and your good, but I do agree it’s not right for them to neglect Sim and leave something like the AA vehicles being outmatched at certain brs

Man your look around is so clean when going in for cannons, i go in shoot turn look but when i turn around i lose track then i have to look again and then i don't find them etc lolol
Then save the last Mav, don't fire it .. and use it with thermal to spot :D

@@Hunter_i86That or you could try to remember some sort of distinct landmark like a road, intersection, tree line etc. I found that finding something like that really help in finding and re-engaging targets

I’ve just started sim with my A10 and I needed this type of guide great content keep up! Also I will need some deeper information. It would be great if you can answer them all but if you can’t don’t worry about it.
1)Your aircraft is so stable while doing maneuvers, taking off and landing. Mine turns to the right while taking off(on the runway) and when I take off plane tries to pull down. I know it’s about trim settings but it resets every time I die. How can I solve that?
2)I am bombing since it is the easiest in sim(at least I feel like it) and it would be so cool if you also uploaded a guide about it.
3)How does the “plus” icon on the TV guidance camera go down and what does it do?

1- There is no permanent mode for all situations, sometimes I use SAS Damping when doing a gun run because it is more stabilized and sometimes I use SAS manual + pitch trimming around 5% when taking off and the plane still heavy.
2- Bombing is good but only if there is no enemy SPAA out there, so Mavs is way to go for SEAD.
3- "Plus" icon helps to know where the plane is heading while on TV screen mode, you can still pitch up\down when you are on TV mode.

I don't know if this is the case, but it may be that the planes will perform much better in simulator battles. than play realistic battles? just by seeing that turn of the a-10 I realize that it is a beast!

i havent fully watched the video because i dont have enough time :p but, if you want to kill mbt´s way faster, shoot from their rear, this way, the mavericks, or the cannon rounds, will penn from the turret to the driver, maximizing damage

Hello my friend, I got shot by the Sidam yes, also after new BR changes a lot of aircraft gained a great chance to do something, one of them is definitely the Thunderchief.
Awesome :) but how did u manage to respawn? I thought that SB & RB were one way tickets for players with no 2nd chance :)

Great video as always. What about some mid or low tier air sim ground pounding? Like hopping in the thunderbolt and using some HVARs or 1000lb to kill the bastards? Would be great too. Thunderbolt to win in top and in low tier
Maybe a turboprop or twin engines plane .. because to be honest flying single-propeller plane with mouse & keyboard in sim is a nightmare.
Maverick Ds have a slight zoom now, and with the maverick buff may have a better chance vs MBTs. Shame about the PvP part of it though, I’d want to just play around and have fun without the possibility of getting shot out of the sky
I imagine this would go way better in an a10c with a FLIR pod, why gaijoobles add two a10 of the same variant, I have no idea.

Is the FLIR view crisper for your Mk.I eyeball to pick out those low IR signature SPAAs? Judging by the video alone, it appears really hard to identify and lock targets from that range. It's easier in DCS because of the crisp visuals.
More of the pave penny is garbage imo, would be better with a targeting pod on the wing sort of like the C has although I'm not sure if the A-10A Late actually had one or not.
It is hard, I was lucky in the first run SPAA were spreading like that in the rear line.

if u carry some 500lb bombs you wont have to rtb early, just use CCRP to deliver the bombs from range

The problem I have with trying to do this in sim with the A10 Late is the zoom on the mavericks plus the thermal is low rez makes it hard to see which is the SPAA
Just mark targets with squad mark and check in the map, easy :))
Try the A-10 Early with "Very High" zoom Maverick B even in test fly if you don't have the plane and you will realize that low zoom is much much better to engage multiple targets in one run because of great FOV.

Hello, only A-10 Late has thermal vision. "Switch NVD Mode" button.
Do you use mouse aim or a joystick and can you please do a video on your keybinds/setup? You fly so smoothly but I tried sim in my f16 and I was just all over the place, I can fly but my controls just do not feel right for doing anything other than flying straight forward and slowly turning around I cant kill anything

How do you let the crosshair stay where you look? And how do you switch between those two types of view in the sight? If I go into the sight, it looks only black/white. Super hard to see any tanks, and going out of the sight means it resets, so have to search for them againe
And how on earth are your AGM actually hitting/killing? If I manage to get a lock, the AGM explodes midair or just miss the target by some km
Currently, there is a bug with all guided missiles in long battles, so in Air Sim EC after one and half hour I recommend leaving the battle and find a new fresh room until Gaijin fix this disastrous bug. And to prevent TV from reset go to Options - Seeker Auto Stab OFF. Also, this is A-10 Late, not Early .. A-10 Late carries Maverick D which has thermal but lower zoom than Maverick B, to switch to thermal view press Switch NVD Mode button.

@@_xxexexx_3002 I have a stick but I don't use it because I'm used to free look with mouse right hand .. stick is very immersive and it works like a real plane flight stick if that's your question.

How long is the average sim match? I like rb for the grind. But sim looks more enjoyable if u want to use your plane as ended and spend a ton of time playing 1 match. Do u get respawns or 1 life. Gonna try it tonight
Sim is good too for grind, it is between one to two hours I would say.
wich Setting is it to stabelise the plane when i play my plane just goes up the entier time and does that eork with a joystick and the premium a10?
Try SAS damping, SAS button, it helps to stab the plane.

Mouse and keyboard, relative control mode .. jets with SAS damping mode is easier to fly than old planes .. still requiring practice of course.

I don't fly all planes in sim because simply I can't with mouse and keyboard only, I choose to fly twin engines like Tu-2S, turboprop like Wyvern (They don't suffer much from engine torque) and jets with SAS damping. They are easier to fly than others .. for the A-10 it has SAS damping which helps to stabilize the plane, the button in controls is SAS Modes button. Give it a try.
I use the a 10..it's hard to use the camera when your plain keeps dropping I will give it a try

To bad they completely screwed the rewards for SIM, I went 16 kills and 2 deaths in my SMT for an hour and 10 minute game and only got 30k RP when I normally would’ve gotten anywhere from 100k-150k
I don't understand their strategy to be honest, they want more people to try sim or they want them to run away from the already low player count mode?! The snail confuses me.
@@Hunter_i86 yeah and it annoyed me because SIM was my main game mode that I played but now it’s not even worth it if your gonna play for 2 hours and only get like 60k RP, and it’s always been this way really but it is annoying that you have to get like 3-5 kills to pay off your spawn in cost for some aircraft

It will be even better next update, the camera will stay on TV screen even when firing multiple Mavericks, definitely work with premium A-10.

Sure, sim battles are long and some of them are calm with few players, you can keep ground pounding for 2 hours.
@@Hunter_i86 Indeed. i littlarly tried it just now, i only have problems with those AGM missiles. i keep doing something wrong but i just cant figere out what. i lock on my target and fire one away, but they just explode mid air. imma check out more of your vids of you using the A-10 see what u do diffrent.

Mavericks need a good approach for a successful launch. After locking through TV sight, get back to HUD view .. make sure that target mark is seen in HUD, around 3 miles away and the plane is steady.

@@No1harris_98 Not the META premium jet of course, if it has Magic 2 I guess it is not very bad (Better choice than Milan for Air RB) .. Mirage F1 is my favorite jet in real life, what I want to say is people not always buy this or that vehicle because it is the best .. sometimes you get a particular vehicle because it has a high emotional place in your heart.

It is what it is in WT, try manual with 4% elevator trim, and after consuming all Mavs turn SAS damping ON and start gun runs. 👍

Thanks to Hunter I can play in sum with the SAS mode but for some reason my plane keeps pitching down and I have to fight it most of the TIME
I try to use from but it doesn't seem to affect my plane at all I can go 100 percent negative or positive and it's still pitching down slowly anyone got any ideas?
Keep tapping pitch up button or turn OFF SAS and use "trimming" buttons. Trimming doesn't work while SAS is ON in War Thunder.
In sim, it differs from plane to another .. for A-10 I don't use SAS Damping, stay on manual with 3 to 4% elevator trim and when I'm out of Mavericks the plane will become lighter therefore it will stop pitching down so I turn SAS Damping ON and start 30mm cannon runs.

how do you have your FOV adjusted further back? Every time I play sim in the A10y FOV is so far forward that I can’t even see my MFD.

did the same in helicopter gamemode. Only i got 3k XP after the same amount of time. I still havent unlocked a single helicopter besides the starters

2- SAS Damping (Not for all aircraft)
3- Trimming

I love the A-10s even though they arent great. I just hope people can get Gaijin to un-nerf them and remove the artificial limitations on both of their armament options and loads. They're the same plane they should have the same ordnance. Artificial nerfing like this is not good.
I also hope one day they fix TV Guided locking so they arent shit.

Welp, I'm about to try sim battles with my A-10 now, wish me luck. Though I already know I can't aim with the gun very well, not sure if it's me being a console player or just me being bad.
After firing all Mavs try SAS damping when using the gun, it is a mode stabilizes the plane.

If only they didn't have that stupid ass sight that gives up control of the aircraft while you use it.. How hard would it friggin be to just have TDC controls to control it from the MFD?... They're just so lazy.
But it looks like you still can. How? Is it because of the autopilot for bomb sight? I am just gonna assume now that if I turn that off it'll let me move while using the sight..
This is sim mode, you can pitch
oll\yaw with keyboard buttons while inside the TV screen, I think it is like this by default.
