Mustafa Ali vs Buddy Murphy atleast deserves a honourable mention. Their DQ match is one of favourite matches that year.
I was front row behind the announcers for that show in Omaha. That match was a thing of beauty in person.
Seth said in an interview that he actually pitched to work Mania with Finn and Miz. It came down to them not having a storyline for him going into Mania and he asked them if they couldn't just put him with those two since he knew he worked well with both. A random thought turned into such a great match. It was my favorite Mania match that year.
I did remember the dogs of war name Adam. 😞
Rhonda vs Charlotte from Survivor Series also deserved to be on the list. I know the match ended in a DQ but the match was brilliant.
I’m surprised that Shinsuke vs Aj last man standing at money in the bank is wasn’t even in this list

Shinsuke is fine with it lol, he came to America to pursue the surfing opportunities, not the wrestling. Wwe is just a job. He's not exactly gonna give his all for the company you know?
He's a very solid hand but he wants to go surfing instead of being a company figurehead who makes himself available to do extra media work.

That triple threat at Mania was great definitely one of Miz's best matches and Seth and Finn were on top form.

Honestly 2018 was an underrated year imo. Sure there was some bad stuff but damn the ppv matches were fire and it really carried the company that year imo aheam besides that Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns HIAC match but at least it wasn't bad as the main event of Wrestlemania 34. Also one of thr best rivalries of that year was Dolph vs Seth Rollins for the IC Title although perhaps it is the best rivalry of the year especially before that whole Ambrose turn fiasco 🙄

We had 4 Samoa Joe vs Aj Styles matches in 2018. And none of them are on this list they had a great match Super Showdown.
This year will always hold a special place in my heart since 2018 was the year where 9 year old me truly became addicted to pro wrestling
My personal favourite match from this year was John Cena Vs Roman Reigns at No Mercy just because that was the first ever match were young me cried over the ending to a match cause I thought John Cena had just retired

The thing that made the Bryan/Brock one so good was how they played into the concussion angle like Brock was looking to retire him again. The initial selling from Bryan followed by Brock's selling as it looked like Bryan could score an upset was wrestling at its best.
Brock at his very best is one of the greatest heels in the history of the business

I think everyone forgets how good Ali vs Murphy was and also the matches between Cedric and Murphy as well
That's the perfect thumbnail because the men's 2018 Royal Rumble match is one of the best if not the best Rumble in history. Same with the first Women's Rumble too. The men's 2018 Rumble was also my favourite match of 2018 and it's definitely the best match of 2018. Also where is the men's 2018 Elimination Chamber match on here???. That match was a sleeper hit and a barn burner classic
6 pack match at Fastlane is underrated
Brock Bryan and Brock AJ were some really good competitive matches. Better the suplex spam matches he had with everyone else

The miz has aways been amazing & I hav love his ring work from day 1 he is 1 of my favourite of all time

2018 was the year I started watching again. Don’t ask me why; don’t remember lol. But it def helped me cope with hard times.

Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler in a 30-minute Iron Man match at Extreme Rules
While I loved Bryan/Lesnar, it also felt like the exact same match Lesnar/Styles had the year before. Not a bad thing by any means! The matches were excellent to be sure.
The fact Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler Iron man match isn’t on here should be a tragedy

Nothing against Daniel Bryan but I think we should have seen a rematch between Lesnar and A.J. They should’ve changed the match at the very last minute.
